great pond protection
nice thick pad will prevent rock and root punctures of my pond liner, but not too difficult to cut.

Nice heavy liner
Replaced my 10 year old liner with this epdm. I accidently ripped the old one and was going to repair it but decided to replace instead. I also was going to put this liner on top of the old one but decided to do a complete tear out, resculpturing the walls and reinstalling over a bed of topsoil and sand. Alot of work but very happy with the job. Also put rocks around edge for the flodded look. Excellent liner, very durable, and smells like rubber. Left over material has been trimmed and makes a great tarp. Ten years ago, pre-Amazon I had to drive 150 miles roundtrip to buy this in Pennsylvania.

Excellent Pond Underlayment
The thickness and padding make this underlayment a must to protect the rubber liner from punctures. I converted an 3500 lbs cement pond with water fall and bird bathes into a pondless waterfall. The underlayment was able to cover seems between clay and remaining cement with only a thin layer of top soil to cover that seem. I feel very confident the pond liner is protected even with 2 tons of rock stacked on top f it.

Good product but zero instructions
Our concrete fish pond developed a leak after 26 years. Rather than attempting a patch and seal, we elected to use this underlayment topped with Firestone 45mil EPDM.Upon opening the box we found no instructions. As first time DIYers we were hoping for tips, tricks, do this, don't do that kind of information.PROS:• Quality product with some heft to it• We were able to use Loctite PowerGrab to help hold it on vertical concrete walls• Customer service was helpful in guiding usCONS:• Our ordered size was 15'x20'. What we received was 15'3"x 19'6". The 15'3" wasn't a problem because even 14' would have worked. 19'6" was problematic and I had to make an adjustment that I didn't want to. I made it work.
