the recipe are kinda a lot not very simple but fun to make! i made a birthday cake for my dog and he loved it!

Good book with lots of recipes but there are a few that add ingredients that really aren't needed for dogs and some that are questionable as to should or shouldn't eat.

Reviews on this book are deceptive.The author states several times in book about garlic and other harmful ingredients for dogs.The recipes are meant for dog owner and pooch to enjoy recipes. Recipes are bland in most cases but interesting.I found that most of the ingredients are on hand and easily found in stores, nothing that is difficult or pricey to find or a specialty item.

I am torn on this one. I did find a good percentage to use and try. However, some were not for your average dog and their likings. I don’t feel that all the recipes are meant for everyone’s pocket book. It is intended for a specific audience so to speak . I will say this is one you definitely have to decide on for yourself

I bought this book last year before Christmas. I gave all my friends with dogs "doggy baskets" gift for their dogs for Christmas gifts. They make such a great gift for owners of dogs. They are just as happy as the dogs. I think to myself "Who is more excited, the dog or the owner?" I just sit there and chuckle as they unwrap the baskets and give some of the treats to their dog(s). Also during the year, I will make some treats for the dog when a friend says, "Come over for coffee tomorrow around 10:00a.m." I'll whip up a batch and bring it over because you know the dog is going to be excite to see you, so you give he/she a little something in return. Then they are ALWAYS excited to see you. Thanks for the book, It really come in handy when you need some thing but don't know what?Carla K.

Failed to mention shelf life of best way to store each treat. Really disappointed

My friend and I tried two recipes from this book so far (the cheese bars and the banana peanut butter dog bones). While they turned out very well (our "taste-testers" were begging for more after their first bite), we had to tweak the recipes. The wet:dry ingredient ratios were very off. For instance, following the instructions to a T for the banana peanut butter dog bones resulted in a "dough" that was crumbly and not sticking together. Needed to add almost an extra cup of water to get something that was remotely workable.Other than that, some of the recipes in the book contain very few ingredients and ones you may already have in your kitchen, yet make (what I assume to be) very yummy and healthy treats). We will be giving these treats we made as Christmas gifts to our friends who own dogs.

Loads of things to make for my dog. Worth the money.

A lot of great recipes. This is just what I was looking for to make dog snacks. Easy to make and most ingredients are easy to find. Absolutely love this book.
