This is a mini scale for (hopefully) measuring weights very accurately.The minimum scale for measurement is '1/100th of a gram', which is a whole lot more accurate than the 5g of my other scale.It has all the features of scales which you would consider standard...- Units can be changed between grams / oz / ozt / dwt / ct / gn- You can tare the weight back to zero, to weigh just the contents of a container- You can set the auto-switch-off time (if it isn't used for a while)Unusually, you can also calibrate the weighing machine, assuming you have a *very accurate* 500g known weight.Maximum weight is 500g. Actually, the machine can weigh up to 999g, as you can 'tare' when the machine is at 499g, and it will still weigh an extra 500g on top.It is powered by two AAA Batteries, which they do supply.I tested some different objects, rotating them randomly... The scale was usually within 2/100th of a gram of the same reading, occasionally 3/100ths of a gram. So, I would say you can rely on it to be accurate within 1/50th of a gram.You hope that it was calibrated correctly at the factory, as don't have a calibration weight with which to test it.In terms of build quality, the case and scale inside are stable and well seated on a flat surface. The metal is firm, without flexing.The hinge opens smoothly, and the opening clip opens and closes the device cleanly.I got the pink version, and (as a red-blooded male) whilst this is not my normal colour of choice, it isn't bright 'Barbie Pink' so it doesn't look out of place in my office.I'm very happy with this device, and it gets an easy 5 stars.

After trying to make some Chilli Olive oil to spice up my pizzas but needing to get accurate weights of the ingredients in grams from 1g to 10g and totally failing due to my regular kitchen scales.I had to look for something more accurate for small weights.It needed to be of reasonable quality but at the same time I didn't want to spend too much on another thing to store in the kitchen draw that would only get occasional use.Long story short; chose these and I'm very pleased so far.They are small so fit anywhere in my kitchen drawer,I like the case with it's protective closing lid.I put my own lithium AAA batteries in because they out last the cheap ones supplied and will not leak whilst it's sat in my drawer unused for weeks or months. Not sure I could trust this if I were using it to cut and sell commodities but for the kitchen and measuring small amounts of ingredients I love it.

These little scales are small, yet feel very sturdy and robust. The case opens and shuts cleanly, and the little clip that holds it shut works without any fuss. I got these for my other half since she is into cake decorating.She often needs to measure out very small quantities of flower and modelling paste to create her edible flowers and leaves. These are just perfect for this application since she doesn’t have to have the large scales taking up table space, which is at a premium when she has everything laid out.Being able to switch between units of measurement so easily enables her to get on without having to worry about converting between grams, ounces, etc.I’ve calibrated them with some known calibration weights and they are now perfect. I would recommend them to anyone that asks.

This is a really dinky digital scale, not too dissimilar in size to a smart phone. I was expecting it to be a metal casing, probably because it looks like metal but is actually a hard plastic molded shell which means they are quite light, in a very pretty metallic pink & gold dual tone.As far as operation goes they are very straight forward and the back lit LCD display makes it easy to see the reading. I’ve checked the accuracy with both my digital kitchen scale and another precision scale I have for weighing very small items that goes down to 0.01g and these seem to be pretty accurate.The functions of tare and switching between measuring units are a great added bonus. I would definitely recommend.

The scale is small. Half the size of my current mini scale. It is accurate, and when tested, was in line with my current mini scale. It is handy having a clamshell lid. You can carry easily, or store in a drawer and not worry about damaging it.

As I am calorie counting i wanted a compact scale for travel and this is perfect. It comes with a protective case so it won't get damaged. The scale is a good size and is easy to calibrate. It seems very accurate too.

Straight of the box, the unit was not accurate in measuring the correct weight. I put a 1oz gold bar to test it and it came out at 1.1oz. So I needed to calibrate it. I have various weights to calibrate it with, but not what this machine needs. To calibrate it, I needed 500g. It really should have come with one. Otherwise the unit is very nice looking. Solid and robust build. Instructions is well written

The sleek looking exterior has a industrial ruggedized pattern which feels like a work tool but painted in a color changing pinkish to brown reflective hue.Looks and feels plasticy on the outside but inside is where this scale really shines having a polished gold base plate at 4x3 inches sizeable to hold small items for measuring their weight. Plate is metallic gold giving it an essence of high end design especially when measuring the weight of gold watches or diamonds.Digital LCD is backlit or clear readability of numbers and mode settings. Precision of the scale goes up to 3 digits in either direction which can read something like 0.531 oz or 495.21g. Using built-in mode settings it auto converts between scale measurements and I frequently toggle grams, ounces, or even carats.Its practical to measure small objects and easy to use settings print out brightly on the LED screen. Design is vivid and quite alot of fun when it changes color depending on lighting conditions.

Pour être honnête, cette balance, majoritairement en plastique et arborant une peinture caméléon de couleur verte avec des reflets violets, laisse clairement penser que l'on a affaire à tout sauf à un instrument de précision.Pourtant, ses performances sont tout à fait honorables.En particulier, des pesées répétitives des mêmes objets affichent bien les mêmes valeurs, y compris dans des conditions d'utilisation différentes. L'affichage se stabilise par ailleurs très vite, ce qui est un vrai confort lorsqu'on cherche à atteindre une quantité très précise (évite de dépasser par manque de réactivité de l'affichage).N'ayant pas de poids de calibration sous la main, impossible de certifier la précision de cette balance mais la comparaison avec d'autres balances (y compris une autre de précision) que je possède semble indiquer que la mesure est fiable.L'ergonomie est par ailleurs très bonne avec des boutons séparés pour les fonctions allumage, tare et changement d'unité, évitant les fausses manipulations.Détail qui a son importance, cette balance utilise des piles LR03 (AAA) au lieu des piles boutons que l'on trouve généralement sur ce type d'appareil, ce qui est sans conteste plus économique à l'usage.En résumé, malgré son aspect un peu cheap, je suis très satisfait de cette balance qui me servira principalement pour des expériences de chimie.

Die kleine digitale Taschenwaage kommt in einem schönen Gehäuse daher. Es sieht irgendwie nach lackiertem Kunststoff aus. Es könnte aber auch das Material selbst sein, welches diesen schönen Effekt gibt. Wirkt auf den ersten Blick wie Emaille - etwas schwer zu sagen. Man hat jedenfalls das Gefühl einer gewissen Wertigkeit.Die Waage hat diverse Einstellmöglichkeiten für die Gewichtseinheit. Man kann hier mit der Taste M einfach durschalten. Dazu natürlich eine Tara-Taste und eine Ein-/Aus-Taste. Die automatische Ausschaltzeit lässt sich auch einstellen. Alle Funktionen werden in der Anleitung beschrieben. Der Deutsche Teil der Anleitung ist ordentlich übersetzt und gut verständlich. Neben der Anleitung sind noch zwei passende AAA Batterien enthalten. Man kann also sofort loslegen. Die Batterien befinden sich in Folie verschweißt im Batteriefach und müssen nur ausgepackt werden.Man kann die Waage mit einem Kalibriergewicht von exakt 500g kalibrieren. Ich habe leider nur ein 200g Kalibriergewicht da. Wenn ich dieses wiege, zeigt die Waage 200,42g an. Das ist natürlich etwas unschön. Es ist für den Hersteller allerdings unmöglich, dass die Waage an jedem Punkt der Erde exakt das richtige Gewicht anzeigt (dies wird von vielen Geologischen Faktoren beeinflusst). Für mich wäre es nun schön gewesen, wenn man das Eichgewicht anpassen könnte, zum Beispiel auf 100g, 200g, 300g, 400g und 500g. So wäre die Warscheinlichkeit höher, dass man kalibrieren kann. Ein Gewicht ist leider nicht dabei. Ich habe mir nun so beholfen, dass ich eine andere Waage mit meinem 200g Eichgewicht einmal eingestellt habe, dann auf dieser 500g exakt gewogen habe, um dann damit diese Waage hier einzustellen. Das ist aber auch nicht sonderlich genau. Hier sollte wirklich ein passendes Gewicht beiliegen.Ansonsten habe ich an diesem kleinen Teil für die Hosentasche aber nichts zu bemängeln. Gute Verarbeitung, gute Messungen, deutsches Handbuch und inkl. Batterien. Super.

The plating is a neat feature as I think it's stylish for a scale but it's also resistant to fingerprint stains. The backlit LCD display is helpful in low-light conditions. I like the versatility in the ability to switch between 6 different weighing units. I occasionally bake so trust me when I say I've used this for my ingredients and it has worked out well! All in all, a nice small scale you can use in a pinch if that's the closest thing you have when you need one.
