CDC603 Multidisc 5 CD Changer Black

Game changer for me. I have quite a vast CD collection with many grouped into specific artists. Now I have the luxury to play up to five CDs of a particular artist. This takes my listening to another level. The CDC603 works well and presents no issues. I was concerned about some reviews detailing technical difficulties. But when I saw it on offer from Richer Sounds within Amazon I took the plunge. Richer Sounds offer a two year warranty which gives peace of mind. The CD tray opens and closes with no hindrance and all five discs can be loaded with there being no obstruction on trays 4 and 5. It is a massive piece of machinery and I’m not certain whether given dimensions on product specifications are accurate. But this small matter aside the price of £449 was worth it. Player includes a RCA cable which should connect CDC603 to most if not all amps/receivers/hi-fi systems. I have the CDC603 playing through a Technics sac100eg k and playing multiple discs can while away a good few hours. I believe most will find their listening experience to be changed and improved with the potential to listen to multiple discs. One factor to note as other reviewers have noted the disc change from one finishing to start of next is minimal in noisy. The use of the PureDirect option is advisable as it provides a sound that is more rounded and enhanced in bass. To me the PureDirect feature is not unlike the Dolby noise reduction that were present in Walkmans in the 1980s and 1990s.

I feel other then price this is a very good system, I have owned a few things from Yamaha a Guitar and Keyboard and always been top quality and lasted a long time, not cheap but they do last and only time will tell for this item. Before this I had the Sony CDP C301M Cd changer first manufactured in 1990, I brought it second hand but the trouble is buying second hand wear and tear, £30 paid for a second had one but this unit was manufactured 1990 so could be 35 years old and still to be working fantastic, but don't think you can buy Sony new anymore only seen the Yamaha and this unit as more on then the Sony, you can press to go to the disc you want to hear without skipping through them, can change discs while a dis is still playing. The unit came on time and delivery driver very polite had to give a one time code, I liked that for security of delivery for the drivers sake as well as the customers as not all items that go missing is the driver nor the customer. So really pleased with the delivery service and security, item was packed well and opening package everything their New as ordered, easy to set up and following the instructions easy to use. Glad remote came with batteries and even a RCA wire to connect to speakers. I guess the real value will come in how long its lasts which I am hoping for years, like I said my snag was just the price because you get the 5 disc changer and remote but will need Amp and speakers or speakers that have a amp fitted, it will not play just on speakers alone Amp is essential but all plays well. Just hoping with it being Yamaha it will last as my other Yamaha as because that is what will make it value for money, sounds very clear but so did my Sony so everything good can recommend and who knows maybe as time goes on I might start thinking it is worth every penny and good value, to early to tell but glad I have gone new this time.

Very happy with this. It's so quiet changing CDs, not like one I had in the 90s, which sounded like a cement mixer. Sound is also excellent too

At long last a CD player which will take up to five discs. Easy to set up and use and very good value for its price.

Love the sturdiness of this item, plus the fact that you can change CDs whilst listening to one disc!

You can only programme one disc at a time even though it holds up to 5 discs. Good product and using through a sound bar which sounds good.
