The Gun Digest Book of Exploded Gun Drawings

While your gun probably came with an exploded parts drawing and you can find many Exploded Gun Drawings on the web, this affordable book puts them all in one handy reference.It is a great source for older guns and for understanding a new one you are considering buying. I used it to completely disassemble a 1903 Colt. And, amazingly, to put it back together and eventually shoot it.More importantly, the quality is far better. For older guns, the drawings have been redone in CAD. The result is a much easier to read drawing.It is pictures only. There is vey little text. And it doesn't cover all vintages of a given gun. For example in the case of the Colt 1903, there are five variants. It covered a later model than my gun, but was close enough.

This volume is exactly what the title states: an extensive collection of exploded gun images. I was very satisfied with the large number of different guns illustrated. Anyone thinking about repairing guns would benefit from this book. It will provide the proper terminology for the parts you might need. It is NOT a gunsmithing guide, however. IF you want instruction on how to repair or customize guns, you need a different book.

Super helpful book for any firearms collector, that wants to know more about the internal workings of just about any weapon you can think of ... amazing how many are included.

I have referred to this book several times. I have also loaned it out several times. Some of the drawing are a bit hard to see but with a magnifying glass it works out.

It is what they recommended form the instructor. I will be using this quit frequently for the next few mouths. Jerry Kuhnhausen is a very good author.

Wish it had more models covered, but the ones that are in the book are terfific.

great to get an inside look at all types of guns. I will use this as a reference when doing a bit of maintenance especially if a little spring goes whizzing past my eye.
