A good read.
Sarojinni is no Zoya but she is still likable. Zain is no Nikhil Khoda but he is dishy nevertheless. A good read.

Good fun read
Very well written book. Super funny. The only thing that I could have held against the author was that sometimes she was trying too hard to be funny

Sheer delight
A fast paced and witty read , full of inside stories about contemporary politics. Mills and Boon goes intelligent and contemporary.

A Battle where words are Weapons
A battle of words and power & how could it not be when one is talking about Indian Elections. This novel is about Indian Elections, the second most hot topic of India, Cricket being the first. It's all about winning the elections until in a heated conversation the protagonists, Zain and Sarojini, admit openly that they would like to make a difference to their birth place, Bittora, after winning the elections. In this introspective moment they realize that their views about each other's entry into political world were false; they are fighting for a noble cause - bringing a positive change.Anuja Chauhan keeps on writing about topics which are in-demand hence, making her an author who is not ready to take risks.Zoya Factor was about cricket and love. Battle for Bittora is about Indian elections, childhood memories and love. Those Pricey Thakur Girls is about television, journalism, Sikh massacre after Indira Gandhi's assassination and, of course, love. Her novels are very easy to read. The only thing I do not like about her works is that she doesn't use a powerful vocabulary; still, it amazes me that she's able to capture reader's attention. Even though she isn't taking risks her works are un-put-downable and leave you with something to linger on.Each work of hers is a complete package with elements of humour, romance and seriousness. In Battle for Bittora she also deals with corruption, Hindu-Muslim inter-caste marriage, Khap Panchayats and how to deal with them in Zain-Sarojini's modern way.Not to forget, Zain and Sarojini's chemistry is so sizzling one would get heated up just in their presence.

Worth a read. Thumbs up for Battle for Bittora
Amazing story, bat the beginning you might feel it's slow but full of drama, entertainment and shocks, both the main characters are lovable, amma is superb, the story is engaging, strong humor and the supporting characters are written well. Worth reading, you will see and feel indian culture and yes the election system. Interesting book by Anuja chauhan.

I think it's her best work!
Her style if writing is so refreshing, unique, desi, funky, jolly, full on entertainment!!! She uses humour in a very unique way and never fails to amuse or make you laugh. She does justice with the serious issues and still manages to retain the entertainment value while drilling the important issues home by using sarcasm, humour, wit very artfully.. The the protagonist and her nemesis or frenemy and their chemistry is crackling.. You can't help but root for them and want them to end up together somehow and she justifies their unison so well that u feel happy and exhilarated.. Zain Altaf Khan is a character that is hard to forget and Jinni-Zain's chemistry is scorching hot! The whole excitement and tension and build up upto the end about the election and results is so well done that u keep on ur toes and changing sides all the while.. It's one roller-coaster, this book is! Had a lot of fun! Thank you Anuja Chauhan for writing this..

Loved it, it’s a classic Anuja Chauhan book!
Loved the characters - who are described so well you feel like you really get to know them and start rooting for them, loved the story line. This was the first AC book I read and I am now a huge fan, having read all her books within a few months of this one. Would you believe it if I told you I still think about the characters in this book?! This and, perhaps, The Zoya Factor and Baaz are my favorite AC books, although the others were enjoyable as well. Can’t wait for her next book, and soooo glad to finally have an Indian author in this genre who wants to make me read, read, read!
