Up to expected LOA standards.
A previous reviewer claimed that this LOA title suffered from a drop in quality, but I disagree entirely. Yes, the dust jacket is matt finished instead of glossy and so are the "Death in the Afternoon" photos, but the latter reflect the finish of the photos in the first printing, which were also matt. Since other recent LOA titles have glossy photos and jackets, I presume that the changes to this volume of Hemingway were deliberate. Otherwise the sewn binding, cover, and paper remain up to LOA standards.

Excellent quality
Beautiful paper and binding. Will last longer than my lifetime.

Disappointing drop in quality
No issues with the actual text - this review is solely for the LoA edition. The binding and paper are not as good as earlier LoA volumes. There is a photo section, but rather than glossy paper it is printed on a very grey standard paper, which makes the text block look tacky. Also the dust jacket is not glossy; it has the same feel as print-on-demand book covers do. It's a shame that LoA are cutting production values.
