I'm a May baby and I love my green monster of a birthstone. So, I think this birthstone bracelet should have been "emeralds" all the way around! I dislike the "center" effect because it never stays where it's supposed to. And it looks cheap. This set looks a little cheap all the way around, quite frankly. The best thing they did are the solid "gold" extenders instead of the clear crystal I usually see. The color on these is a little deep, but they look more believable on my wrist. I'm just not overly impressed.I had a feeling this would be the case when I unpacked. I've tried to show you the chain of packaging events in my photos. Box with ribbon we're supposed to pull, but nothing happens any way I try. I finally cave and cut away the outer pink box. Inside is yet another box with a strange plastic film. Must open that box to get to the plastic bags inside. In my consumer experience, when a company employs such convoluted packaging, it always has the opposite effect - the contents never live up to the hype! Case in point right here. :)

This a nice bracelet set, with a good mix of dainty chains and more robust chains. It's a feminine look, but not *too* feminine. The birthstones are chunky, in a good way. The three chains look great together, but they can also easily be worn separately. The gold is VERY gold, though, so this is a bright look, not muted. (Although I bought the amethyst and the purple is not a garish purple--it's bright but not childish.) The bracelets can easily be fitted for very small wrists. Good value, but also not "nice" jewelry.

The quality of these is unreal. Pleasantly surprised, can't wait to wear them.
