Freya Women's plus-size Freya Fancies Underwire Plunge Bra

I have always had large breasts and have never been able to purchase bras in a regular store in my entire adult life (despite spending 4 years managing an internationally known bra store). I hit DDD breasts by the time I was 12 and now sit at an uncomfortable 34I (US Sizing). I am gearing up for a reduction at the end of this year but desperately needed a new bra in the meantime because I have several weddings, vacations, and events happening between now and then and the one I was wearing was several sizes too large in the band due to recent weight loss. The band is perfectly snug but not uncomfortable. The gore rests comfortable on my sternum which is something I have never had fit correctly before; typically the cup is too small or the wire not wide enough to allow the gore to rest under my breast tissue. If you aren't familiar with bra construction, the gore is the center part between the cups. It allows for a secure fit and helps reduce movement and shifting throughout the day. A well fitting gore should be flush against your sternum without digging in. Although the cups are still SLIGHTLY too small for me, that is just a product of my bust size and not the bra itself from what I can tell. It is so flattering, comfortable, and offers the support I so desperately need. It is a forward-projecting bra so the side support looks beautiful if you're trying to avoid an overly-matronly look. I ordered another color so I have one black and one beige to last me until my reduction. This price is absolutely unbeatable compared to other bras that go to size 34I on the market and I'm even tempted to order a fun color because I have never owned anything other than black or beige before just due to limited availability and affordability in my size. I will likely order these in a smaller size after my reduction because of how flattering it is. I'm 5'8", 58 y/o and wear a 36G in this bra. It has been so very hard to find a bra that actually fits, is comfortable and solves ALL my issues - really! I haven't worn a sheer bra, well, ever because I don't want anything "showing through" and I need support. This underwire bra offers support and creates a great shape without being bulky, confining or downright painful. The straps are long enough for me (unusual) but don't have seams or stops so can be shortened more than most too. I no longer have that constant, nagging shoulder pain. Amazingly there is only one hook in the back, but this bra offers more support and stability than any of my other bras (up to 4 hooks) with comfort I haven't experienced in years. The cups are made of a lightweight and exceptionally breathable material that holds its shape well - no stretching. The underwires don't dig in at all. The structure of the cup enhances one's natural shape. The center of the bra actually fits against my breastbone. Everything stays in place - not in my armpits, no quad boobs, no back fat, no high beams. T-shirts look great and I don't have to worry about anything showing through. The plunge front makes it easy to wear v and scoop necklines. I have had professional fittings and several expensive bras by well known brands through the years, but Freya is unequaled in fit, quality, comfort and appearance. Please don't change a thing about this bra!

As a petite person with a big bust, this and one other brand (panache) are the only bras that fit me or even make my size that I know of (28F). I think they are pretty expensive tbh, but they are my only option if I want a bra that fits, so I look for price drops on the ones I like. They look really nice as well, so that's a big plus. Only con on this bra model of theirs is that the straps keep loosening as I wear it, but I'm so used to altering my bras it's only a minor inconvenience that I can easily fix. It took some trial an error with trying their different sizes but once I found which of their sizes fit me correctly, it is really comfortable after years of wearing the wrong sized bras since there no 28 band size in US stores.

I absolutely love this bra. It fits me perfectly, exactly like my Freya bra of the same size purchased directly from the brand. SOME NOTES: as written above, these are in UK SIZES. Freya has their own conversion chart, so even if you *think* you know your size, it's a good idea to double check, or to use a tool like abrathatfits. The nature of Freya bras is that they *will* be snug when they're new. Start wearing on the largest hook, and as the bra settles and conforms to your body, you can begin to wear the band tighter. I find that the middle hook for my 28FF is perfect for me, and works even when my weight fluctuates. The gore - center part - of the bra should lay flat against your breastbone. If you haven't worn a well-fitting bra that has a gore that tacks, it may be an uncomfortable feeling. If it's just unfamiliar and is something you settle in to, great! If the gore is painful or standing well away from your skin, your purchased bra size may be too small or too large. Unlined Freya bras shape themselves to your breast, not the other way around. If you're purchasing unlined, don't expect your natural shape to suddenly become round and perky (if that's not your resting shape). That being said, I find that this bra has a really nice natural lift and brings everything to the front, no underarm gaping, and creates nice cleavage in that way. Overall, I love this bra. It's super cute, my partner likes it, and it's comfy and has enough nipple control that I can wear this throughout the day under soft t-shirts.

Although this bra technically fit me, the band and cup size fit me, but overall it wasn't comfortable. I found the fabric to be scratchy and the band in the back gets very narrow with only one hook. I found the back to also be uncomfortable, probably because of the shape of the band. Additionally, I also didn't feel that it provided enough support. I returned it, and will be looking for something with a wider band, with more than one hook and probably something that is lightly lined.

I ordered a 32FF with this bra and its very comfortable. The single hook style in the back is weird at first but honestly i enjoy it. Theres no thick hot material to hold in sweat or heat. However in the back where the elastic joins the sides of the bra there is some slight boning which was uncomfortable at first but now i rarely think about it. Overall this is a great bra and i would 100% buy again. Its very thin and sheer but still super supportive and comfortable. The lace cups also do not slide down which has been a problem for me in similar products. I wear this all through the day even during 8 hour shifts at my cook job that is extremely hot and results in sweating, the thin material of this bra makes it able to dry out and easy to stay cool.

I bought this based on recommendations in size 32D. There is 1 line of hook and eye closures, which doesn’t feel like enough. When I put it on, it was very uncomfortable. The sides dug in, the center between my boobs dug in. The material was see through and the lace was scratchy. As my husband said, the shape made my boobs look like pointy missiles. It is immediately going back and I’m on the hunt again for a comfortable, flattering bra.

This bra is absolutely STUNNING. I am in love!!! I am usually a 32GG in UK sizes (32J in US) and this bra is my new favorite. I bought a 32G on a whim because it was on sale and I have found that Freyas run a bit big in the cup. It fits PERFECTLY so I would definitely recommend sizing down by one cup size. I am full-on-bottom and bell shaped and always have an issue with gapping at the top of the cups. This bra fits perfectly and provides great lift. The unmolded cups give a nice, natural shape that looks very classic. The gore is narrow so if you have a wide root it is very comfortable. I know a lot of other reviews were disappointed in the single hook closure but I have not found that to be an issue. The criss-cross wider band is stretchy and comfortable and helps distribute the weight so the thin clasp doesn't cut in to the skin. The lace and design are gorgeous and I feel very pretty when I wear it! :) Highly recommend!

I now have 4 of these bra's in different colours, it is so comfortable, I love the 1 hook clasp at the back it's so easy to do up, it fits really well, I'm a 36DD and need a supportive bra which this is, also like the straps, not too thin or not too wide. Freya are the only bras I find are a good fit, which is why I only buy this brand. The price was excellent, you can pay up to £32 for this bra from other outlets, delivery was great too. A very satisfied customer!
