Fun arrangements of all the pieces, of which there is a reasonable selection. This book doesn't contain information or examples of the 'session skills' part of the trinity exam, but you can buy a separate book that deals with this or go online to find free samples. From personal experience, I think what makes this book particularly good, especially when compared to the Rock School equivalent, is that it includes singers in the backing tracks. This is far more enjoyable and expressive to play along with.

I feel it's a bit unfair of me to criticise this book as it is clearly designed for people taking the grade 2 pop and rock exam on keyboard and no doubt it does a good job for them.However, if you are *not* doing that exam and, like me, just wanted a selection of contemporary/popular tunes to learn, at a fairly beginner level, then this is absolutely not the book for you.The selection of tunes is *ok*, although not hugely to my personal taste. But the biggest problem for me is that they are not written for solo piano (as I'd have honestly expected for a book designed for people learning keyboard) but to accompany a vocalist. The result is that the piano parts are often very dull, with some of them consisting of nothing but a few chords repeated, and at least one of them containing some seven bars of rests! Even if you do enjoy playing this, the end result won't sound like the tune you know, as the majority of the melody is left to the vocal part.If you're playing to accompany a vocalist, or you want to sing along yourself, then this could be fine, but for me it was a non-starter and I returned the book.

This item only took one day to be delivered with a standard delivery option. Outstanding! Unfortunately there was some minor cosmetic damage. Overall, for £5.80 delivered, it was incredibly good value!

Pieces are perfect but the activation code is innocent in this book .so plz buy in musical shop not in online...
