After using it, his top coat is super smooth. My dog’s hair isn’t curly but is thick, and it does catch a small amount — nothing that hurts or makes him uncomfortable. Finally a user friendly brush. Not only is this the key to keeping the brush hair free because of its self cleaning capability, it is gentle on my pups. My miniature American Eskimos are high maintenance and they act like this brush is a major pet job rather than a grooming task. You can see from the picture how much hair is removed. Good quality brush for our lab mix dog. It helps brush off some of the hair he's shedding, while also cleaning him a bit. It's good to use this a couple of times per-week. It isn't the most intense deshedder, but that isn't always neccessary. This cleans and does maintenance while removing whatever is loose. We are on our second, so had to replace after carrying it around in his dog park bag for about a year and a half.

My dog was shedding so bad and I was on a mission to get all of his undercoat off so he would quit shedding. I ordered this brush and it did a great job. The first day I used it I cleaned the brush probably 12 to 15 times since it got full of hair. I did it again the next day and got half as much out again. I have been consistently using this brush each day and the shedding has gotten considerably better. My short haired dog really enjoys getting brushed. The handle on the brush is designed very well and fits very comfortably in my hand. The bristles are firm, but also flexible enough to where it doesn’t hurt their skin. For reference of the coat thickness of the dog, I use it on is half boxer half black mouth cur.

I'm happy using this lightweight brush that cleans easily. My dogs seem to like how it feels when I use it and don't complain about sitting still for brushing sessions anymore.

This is a really cool slicker brush. Then bristles can be retracted into the brush for storage. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy on both the coats of my field golden & my show golden. Bristles feel soft to the touch. My Goldens love this brush & so do I. Extremely happy with this purchase. Definitely worth it.
