I don't give a damn for fancy finishes on cabinets, or gee-whiz knobs and sliders. I want to see and hear audio quality, frequency response, etc.. I have used Phonic almost exclusively, and what I hear from mixers, USB interfaces, equalizers, etc., has always pleased me. This little mixer has the same audio quality as my Phonic 18 channel mixer with equalizer. One of the things I do with my new artists is show them the two mixers, big and small, and ask them which one is better. When they say the big one, I correct them and show them that their audio quality is the same: Very, very high. The money these items leave in my pocket with their low cost comes in handy for other stuff I need. Let me emphasize: If there was a better mixer, I would buy it. You can't compromise quality. If you can save a penny while not compromising quality, that is just smart. Phonic in general, and this mixer specifically, won't disappoint you.
