Calming and Effective
I normally use a lavender sleep spray so thought I’d try this one to see how I’d get on with it, especially as it’s made by Napier's of Edinburgh, a traditional brand and well-respected in the field of herbal medicine. The sleep spray contains a combination of lavender, frankincense and marjoram oils, with action described thus: “soothes and calms for a good night’s sleep”. The spray is stored in a brown glass bottle and has a pump spray mechanism. I can smell the lavender, also the slightly spicy and slightly woody fragrance of frankincense. I find the combination a little unusual, but guess this to be because it's more designed for therapeutic action than as a perfume per se; I have a mild cold and the spray is also soothing for this.I have been spraying at arm’s length as per the directions, and find that I feel very relaxed afterwards, for a calm session of reading and preparing for bed. I’ve also been sleeping very well and waking up more refreshed than usual, which I feel better for. My husband has also been sleeping better and so far hasn't needed to get up in the night for the bathroom. We will definitely keep using this and would recommend Napier's herbal calming bedtime and sleep spray.

Soothing blend of floral, resinous, and herbal notes
Based on my own experience, I can confidently say that this product is fantastic. Lavender is always relaxing for me, and the added warmth of frankincense, with hints of subtle sweetness from herby marjoram in this blend, is just right – not too strong, just subtle. With just a quick spray on my pillow before bedtime, I find myself perfectly primed for a restful night's sleep.I am always pleased to see UK-made products on the market, and this brand is a favourite of mine. They offer a great range of quality products at affordable prices, and their creatively designed branding adds a touch of sophistication to their products. It has a lovely scent that combines floral, resinous, and herbal notes, with a touch of sweetness from the marjoram oil. It lives up to its promise of being soothing and calming for a good night's sleep. The scent lingers for about an hour – just long enough to gently ease into a peaceful slumber.I like that it doesn't leave my pillow damp; instead, the mist evaporates quickly, a testament to its quality.Overall, I find the scent to be pleasant without being overpowering, and its longevity is just right. It leaves behind a subtle, comforting aroma that aids in relaxation and unwinding after a long day.

A lovely take on a lavender scent
When our daughter was itsy bitsy we got into the habit of spritzing the bed sheets with a calming, soothing smelly something or other. Particularly when she was feeling a bit under the weather. This has become a bit of a tradition now. When we change the bedding, we always spray under the duvet and pillows with whatever we fancy the smell of. It's also particularly nice if you're making a bed up for guests too.So, here's a Sleep Spray by Napiers. It's a nicely presented brown glass spray bottle that looks sweet (it would make a nice gift, actually). You don't get quite the amount as some room sprays and the like, but it will last you a while. The scent here is definitely lavender. But with warm, slightly spicy notes that take the edge off that soapy astringent nature that lavender often has. It's very pleasant. As for it being an aide to sleep. Well, it smells nice and creates a nice atmosphere for your bedtime routine. We never have much trouble getting to sleep - even with the ever looming tension of having your toes attacked by the cat - so I can't really speak to that element of the product. Give it a go - I mean the product, not having your toes chewed by a cat!

Smells nice. Made in the UK. Long list of ingredients a bit off putting
Smart little 50ml bottle. The overwhelming fragrance is that of the lavender rather than frankincense or any of the other ingredients. Its nice to use as a room freshener aside from its proposed use as a sleep aid.The list of ingredients is quite a long one with things like Tocopheryl acetate, Salicylic Acid and Diisopropyl Adipate which may or may not be herbal/natural but I don't really like the sound of them.

Great bed time spray
I love a lavender pillow spray. This one definitely smells of both frankincense and lavender, but it strikes that perfect balance of not being overpowering

A relaxing natural, botanical fragrance...
I wasn't previously aware of the Napier's brand. Edinburgh-based, it specialises in herbal products and dates back to 1860. An occasional user of sleep sprays, like many I suspect I discovered them during the pandemic. They can be a bit hit and miss. I've found that some have been rather synthetic and off-puttingly chemical-smelling.Not so Napier's Herbal Sleep Spray, which smells natural and botanicals-based and is very evidently high quality. The idea is you spray it on a pillowcase and leave to dry. The residual fragrance - subtle, not overpowering strong on the lavender as some sleep sprays can be - helps you to drop off calmly and pleasantly. The 50ml product arrives in a branded eco-friendly amber glass bottle with a spray mechanism incorporated - not boxed or sealed but in protective bubblewrap. It would make a thoughtful little gift for friends or family who may be stressed and, given the quality, is good value for money.

An amazingly relaxing aroma
This Napiers sleeping spray has a beautiful and calming scent of lavender essential oil, marjoram and frankincense. From an aromatherapic point of view, this formula appears of outstanding quality and provides relaxation and a soothing experience.I can’t comment yet of a better sleep because it certainly isn’t a quick fix if you suffer from insomnia. It’s natural, very gentle, safe from 6 months onwards and versatile in use.
