Q: Do you think this would fit a chrome book as well as a 5 subject notebook, a textbook and a small bag to hold pins and pencils?

It fits an iPad Air tablet, and pens, but I would check the dimensions for a chrome book because it has inside pockets? The purse is generous in size.

Q: It says l that it is “vegan leather” is it really vegan?

It looks and feels like leather. Very pretty

Q: Do all the Montana bags have the same brown lining? I think it would go nice with a lot of the colors but not the gray one....

I only have the brown lining because I chose the solid brown bag.

Q: Does it come with a Proposition 65 warning?

I don't know but I don't recommend it. The leather started to peal just after the 30 day return period and I didn't have anywhere to complain about it.
