Very comfortable walking boots. Lightweight and easy to walk around in. Didn’t need to break into them. I bought one size up; I usually wear size 41 but got size 42 (8) as these seem to fit better for most walking boots. I cannot comment on waterproofness as I haven’t tested them. I was mostly keen on light weight, comfortable boots and I got just that. Whether they will last or fall apart as other reviews suggest is a matter of time I guess.

These boots are very good. As a postman, I walk a lot of miles on the pavement, so I need a shoe that has a hard wearing sole, comfortable, and most importantly that is waterproof. These boots tick those boxes very well. Of course, you need to look after them, so I make sure I use a good Gore-Tex boot cleaner and then I spray on a re proofer if I've been out in heavy rain in them. I average around 16,000 - 20,000 steps a day in these, and by around the 5th month of having them the sole will be worn through. But, I'm happy with that compared to other boots I've had. I will however only get these when they're on offer, for me that's been from around £79 - £95. I don't want to pay more than that for work shoes. I recommend these boots.

I recently tested this shoe, and it was absolutely brilliant. The waterproofing is outstanding—I stood and walked in a lake for 10-15 minutes, and my feet stayed completely dry. The material does a fantastic job of keeping water out while still being breathable and comfortable for long walks. It’s cost-effective and great value for my money. Since the design sits below the ankle, water can get in if it’s too deep, so it’s best for shallow streams, wet trails, and rainy conditions rather than full submersion. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for hikers and outdoor lovers, combining reliable waterproofing, comfort, and affordability.

Best boots I've had. I do alot of walking and found these very comfortable straightaway. Waterproof and good quality. I would definitely recommend them.

Always love how comfortable Salamons are straight away, don’t think I’ll need to break these in. Arch support feels great, ankles feel supported without being constricted. Hopefully the waterproof claim holds up, will update in future.

Shocking quality, not even slightly waterproof! The goretex label states, " "guaranteed to keep dry" wish this was the case, Amazon wouldn't refund as it was over 30 days, Salomon wouldn't refund as I'd bought them from Amazon! apparently it's Amazon's responsibility to refund. Kept them as they are comfy and light, but not fit for purpose. Salomon were my go to shoe brand, unfortunately this will be my last pair, as if you read the reviews online, the quality issues are widespread. Spend a little more and get something you can rely on on the hills.

These are my second pair after my last gave up after nearly 10 years of use. . Light, Weather proof, and water proof to a good extent. excellent boot and at a reasonable price compared to elsewhere. I wouldnt use these on hard moutain trails (they would get trashed pretty quickly) but defo for walking the dog through fields in summer especially in morning with the morning dew these keep your feet dry.

I bought these boots in May 2023 and have walked about 20 miles a week in them since then - usually over hilly terrain and along grassy tracks. I’ve had good experience with Salomon trail running shoes in the past so was keen to try these. Build quality seemed excellent to begin with. Well made, good quality materials and finished well. Fit was quite tight for me (size 10, wide-ish foot) but overall they were comfortable for long hikes and I've never had any blisters wearing them. Initially the waterproofing seemed fine, and in the summer months I had few complaints. Recently, in wetter weather and through wet grass, the boots have leaked water pretty early on a hike and my feet have become quickly sodden. There’s clearly a problem with one of the boots because the left boot becomes sodden much faster than the right one. There’s no obvious crack or hole in the boot but water is coming in around the toes. Very disappointing for Gore-Tex boot. The grip on the boots is only average; again in muddier conditions they lose traction pretty easily and I’ve had a few too-many slips and slides in these boots. So, for me, these aren’t fit for purpose in winter or in wet conditions. They’re fine in summer months and on dry terrain where their comfort is a higher priority than their ability to keep water out or their grip in the mud.

These boots are amazing, excellent traction and top quality manufacturing !!!! Unfortunately my feet were already Adidas and Merrell feet !!!! My 9.5USA were a bit small even after I took them out for a short walk. I contacted the seller and it was totally easy to return them with a full refund. Unfortunately, I wish they were a good fit as I really like the quality and style. To the Seller: Thanks for making this first time (buying shoes) so painless ... 5 STARS for sure !!!!
