Feather Hotel Down Wife Pillow. I needed something that would give me best support and comfort, and most of all help me get a full night of sleep. Getting old gets to be a bit rough, and sometimes you need to adapt and make some changes. In this case it was my pillow. My problem is I’m a left side sleeper and for me there is no other way to sleep. I have two knee pillows and before my Wife Pillow , I thought I had the best of pillows. I purchased from a latex pillow company. Antibacterial foam and bamboo pillow cover, and it worked and was great, until my left arm starting experiencing numbness and pain, and it would wake me up because my shoulder to my arm to my hand was completely asleep and numb and great pain. I went to the Dr , and he looked at me and said try a different position. I just couldn’t change my sleep position,to make a long story short I needed something that would take the weight and pressure off of my shoulder. I’m assuming that it was cutting off blood circulation. With that being said, I started looking for anything that would help me. I went on YouTube, studying new sleep positions and did everything I could . My last hope was when I found the Wife Pillow. After careful reviews and reading this seem to be my only hope.I ordered it , let it fluff out, and to be honest when nothing else worked , I thought this would be a long stretch . And to my amazement I got a full night sleepand no more numbness or severe pain on my shoulder to hand. The channel’s that are built into the pillow work. You just need to find your best position and locate your arm into one of the pillow channels.I’m in love with my pillow, and I think the hotel down was a great option. It’s extremely comfortable. And I’m sure you all know you can still adjust the height and softness or firmness of the pillow.Find your sweet spot and have a great bed time rest.Good luck.

This pillow is amazing!
If you’re a side sleeper, you have to try this out! I would lose sensation in my arms when I slept on my side, but not anymore. The tunnels are big enough to hold your arm within them. It’s great to prop me up for reading or watching TV as well. Such an awesome pillow and I LOVE the memory foam. Highly recommended!

Didn’t work for me
It is like all pillows that I buy, starts off feeling comfortable but slowly it doesn't do what is says. I try adjusting and filling then removing and nothing changes. I wanted to give this pillow a really good try to make it work but now I have missed the return window and am stuck with another useless pillow to add to the collection of pillows that don't work to help with neck or shoulder pain. As soon as you add more to it then it just sinks again so I add more then it's too firm and hurts there is no happy medium for adjusting. The height makes you feel like your neck is on a slope, so you're not really aligned. It doesn't function any better than any other pillow I've tried. I won't say it won't work for others, but I've had no relief from pain in the last month and half of this pillow and am done with trying.

Delivers on positioning, but very bulky
I've been a side sleeper since I was a kid. For most of the last 39yrs, I used arc pillows (such as the one made by Therarc), which provide a short half-cylindrical tunnel and are very maneuverable (you can pick it up in the dark and throw it on either arm at any distance from a shoulder). They are thin and hard, with low profile and minimal bulk. I still have two, but they're no longer produced and mine are steadily degrading in spite of my repairs. The Wife Pillow is at the other extreme: it's hugely bulky, quite awkward to move for repositioning, but offers plush comfort. The bulk derives from two design choices: (i) the pillow accommodates left- and right-side as well as stomach sleepers and so is nearly twice the width of an equivalent "one-sided" pillow, and (ii) the pillow has arm-length channels diagonally left and right and straight up the middle and is thus tall and thick in addition to wide. It weighs far more than your everyday king-size pillow, so the combination of weight and bulk makes it hard to move it while in bed.If you have a preferred side, it'll be fine, but if you change sides several times each night, it's going to be a pain.On the positive side, it's extremely confortable even for very picky sleepers (like me). It holds your head and neck, one shoulder and most of one arm in a precise position that you can set up following instructions. It's configurable ad infinitum: type of foam filling, type of cover (you absolutely need a custom cover to use it!), additional material to increase or decrease height, separation, etc.I normally change sides half a dozen times per night, but on this pillow I found myself sleeping the night through without changing position. Two small nags:1. I ordered the firm version, but had to do the firming up myself, with rather limited instructions; and the free bag of extra foam does not suffice to firm up the middle area (but it's easy to find bags of foam online).2. The custom cover does not come clean in the washing machine no matter what program or detergents I use; instead it seems to turn dirt into stains that get slowly larger and darker. Conclusion: heavy and bulky, but it really works.
