Our favorite experiment was the bottle tornados although we would have liked it better in a 2 liter bottle as with the small bottle by the time you twirled the liquid around to make the tornado it was already half way down the bottle. The snowflake crystal and snow were also fun favorites. Some of these were a bit above my 6 year old's head and we couldn't do all of them at this time but even still it was fun and a great learning experience for her. Would recommend for 8-10 maybe.

My son was so happy to get this. He loves doing experiments an then teaching everyone about them and showing us how they work. He is so fascinated with why things happen like tornado and hurricanes. So he was so happy to be able to simulate different weather. I definitely recommend for all children.

The media could not be loaded. There are a lot of different experiments in this weather kit. Each one has directions, materials needed, and then it gives facts and information about that particular type of weather. We made a tornado, and produced lightning from static electricity using a balloon and a spoon. We made a wind turbine, learned why the seasons change, the temperatures of different climate zones, what kind of weather each type of cloud creates, and even how to make a natural rainbow with light and water. That is only half of the experiments in this kit. Next, we are going to learn how to make snow. That one should be lots of fun. These experiments are well explained, and they are simple to perform. They don't take a lot of time, and they focus on the most in depth parts of the weather, which keeps my son interested from start to finish. So far, the end results have been totally worth doing the experiments. This weather kit is fun, educational, and a great way to spend time with your child.

Even though the box states it is for age 8 and above, it is still fun for my seven year old. She loves science experiment and this one is very different from all her other science kit. It is more weather related and it comes with all the tool needed. The instruction is straight forward and crystal sugar is my daughter’s favorite. It would be a great gift idea for school age kids.

This is a great kit for kids to learn about the weather.
