I got this because my old halogen work light gets insanely hot and is a real risk of burning anything too close especially my hands!This unit still gets hot but not nearly as hot as my old one. It is much brighter than my halogen light and illuminates a wider area. It is a plug in only which is fine by me. Cord is plenty long. For me this is a big upgrade. I like it a lot over my old one. Great for painting and any where you're working where you need Good light.

This is a proper work light. It puts the light where you need it and lots of it. Its great for working underneath a vehicle or lighting up an entire room. I had to replace a clutch in an Audi A4 and this work light did the trick when others lights where to hard to aim because of there shape. The light housing does get hot but not to the point of worry and I would say its very close if not right on about the 5000 lumen output. Its great in the daytime in low lighting situations and awesome at night. If you need a compact light with serious lighting output then I highly recommend this one, great price and good quality.

I bought this to shine out my back porch into the yard. I have 2 small dogs & wanted to be able to see them in the yard. This light works perfect. It's light weight & fits on the window ledge. It shines super bright 20'-25' into the yard. If it was in a room it would be more than bright enough to paint or work on a project.

I really like the light. It's bright and has a long electrical cord, which is nice.. But, it gets a lot hotter than I was expecting.

Hard to believe that you can get that much light for 50 watts. Well made with built in heatsink. Barely got warm to touch. Easily better than my dual 500 watt quartz lights, but you won't be able to fry your breakfast on it. Or your kids fingers!

This light is great, i bought it for my husband but i use it more than him, it was so easy to put together. Its so bright. Its lightweight so its easy to move around the cord is pretty long so that’s definitely a plus since i have a closet and a room with no light i use it very often. I definitely reccomend this product.

This light has an on/off switch on the side. It draws near nothing as far as current. It is extremely bright and priced right. I love it!

This is a really, really bright light, and may be more than I need. I am still mulling this over.That said, the product is as advertised and does shine a very bright light on EVERYTHING!
