Drum Pail Heater Pad 5 Gallon Drums, Metal Bucket Drum Heater Barrel Band, 800 Watt Temperature Controller

I have used these barrel heaters before but this one is much higher quality and way better made. All of the components are heavy duty. This one is for a 55 gallon drum. There are springs with hooks that make it easy to put on the barrel. Just make sure there are no gaps between the barrel and the pad so you will get an even temperature. I used a bungee cord to temporarily hold the heater to the tank so I could easily attach the springs...just do not put the hooks on the pad or cord. The thermostat works well so you can control the temperature. Depending on the amount of liquid in the tank, you may need one or two more of these heaters to heat the entire tank. If it is only 1/3rd full you could get away with just one on the bottom. The design of this heater is way above what used to be made. I recommend it.

This is a very heavy duty belt, it feels well made and thicker than expected. I guess it has to be, considering how hot it gets. The springs made it pretty easy to attach, though with a large barrel wrapping it can be a little difficult alone. Once installed, it seemed to heat the bucket very fast, it got up to nearly the temperature set and has been working fine keeping it hot for hours. It does get extremely hot, so be very careful, I'd be a little nervous using it on plastic buckets. But on metal, this thing worked fast and heated very well. You do need a straight standard size bucket, as there's no way to adjust the springs.
