There are a lot of characters to keep track of, however if you enjoyed the first book, you're bound to enjoy this one. The second book reveals some deeper family secrets for the twins as they face a battle of mind and spirit. A wholesome read suitable for younger audiences.

Definitely a more mature read as the twins grow in their new setting, in the world they originally came from. I like that the question in this book isn't about how to wield their power, but how will they as emotional beings, be able to handle the heart wrenching and persona changing experience of war. The book was very thought provoking and very deep, and keeps the reader engaged all the way through.

This was definitely a captivating sequel and I enjoyed it very much! It was darker than the first story, dealing with more mature and complex situations. I found myself becoming emotional on several occasions which is a sign of a great book when it can draw you in and have such an affect on you. I would absolutely recommend this book also and I look forward to the next in the series!

This sequal, in short, was amazing!It made me tear up many times. [I cry easily] This book has a more mature tone to it. I personally loved it!The switching of the storylines and characters, well I loved/hated it. I am waiting to see what happens next. I hope the conclusion of this story ends nicely!

This book wasn’t as good as the first book. There was a lot of heartbreak. I understand the battle had to come but why did so many beloved characters have to die? Why couldn’t Dece visit the center of magic?

I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. I am glad the kids grew up a little more and their powers have grown with them. I think this is a great series with magic and characters I enjoy to read about. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

I have to admit that it's been a while since I read the first book so it took me a while to catch up and remember where that left off. There are so many characters to keep track of but once I started getting into it everything fell into place. Another great YA fantasy read, I especially liked the twins finding their father and half siblings, it added a nice dynamic to see them re-united.This definitely had a more ' grown up' mature feel to it and I'm interested to see what happens next and where this story leads.Well done to the author. YA is a genre that I find a bit hit and miss for me but this pulled me in again.

Get your tissues and chocolate and emerse yourself in a world of fantasy, the twins venture on and are more grown up in this enjoyable book. Powers grow with each character as they grow and learn. An exciting read that has you grabbing your tissues as you turn the pages, I keenly await the next adventure

What a fantastic sequel to the first mansions book. The Mansion's family was darker than the first, but but I thought enjoyed it all the same.
