OXO Tot Mash Maker Baby Food Mill, Teal

We used this to grind up my granddaughter’s baby food. It is awesome!! Easy to clean and sturdy.

I love this thing. I used one just like thud for my own kids decades ago as it was recommended by La leche league to feed babies transitioning from breast to foods. I bought this one for my grand babies and other babies I watch. It will mill most anything from meatloaf to pastas or whatever I am serving my family. It gets babies accustomed to flavors and textures right from the start. And it just makes life easier because everyone in your house can eat the same things (within reason). I’ve taken it to restaurants too and just throw it in a ziplock bag and clean it up when I get home. It’s baby lead weaning really, the way we used to do it…without having to have your baby choking on large pieces of food or having to chew it yourself for them (haha!)

This works fairly well, but struggles with a few foods, mostly meats. The grinding "blade" is just a bar, not sharp at all, so it can't cut through and the end product comes out a bit gummy. Works great on fruit and vegetables though.

This mill can be fully disassembled for cleaning, which is key since it has tons of nooks and crannies. At first I didn't notice that the outer housing (the part you grasp to use the mill) can be unscrewed from the rim and hopper that contains the the ground-up food. Hand washing would be tricky but doable with the right brush. We've always put it through the dishwasher, and have never noticed any damage.

Would give no stars if I could because it is too dull to work. I had one when my kids were babies, so I know how it should work. This one could not even grind an apple. It would have to have something as soft as a ripe banana to work at all. It is USELESS.

I absolutely love this food grinder. Yes, it’s manual use and not electric but it does the same job as the electric ones. It grinds up pretty much everything. From meat to veggies/fruit. It’s simple to assemble and use. It’s easy to take apart and clean as well. It takes up no space at all either. So easy to store when not in use. I cannot recommend this item enough!!

This grinder is ok for soft foods such as cooked veggies, however it isn't good at grinding meat. I hesitated to spend so much for a baby grinder but being OXO I thought it would be great at grinding up all foods. It's a lot of money to grind up foods I can mash with a fork.

I wish I knew about this sooner I would have skipped that electric baby food maker that never worked well and just used this. Excellent quality

It's really a hassle to wash this because there are like 4 separate parts. It's easy to use and does the job. I decided in the end to go with a blender. Although a blender is faster and easier to wash, it doesnt make sense to blend a small amount of food. So this food mill is better in that sense. I also stopped using the blender and now just mash food with a spoon, scrape fruits with a spoon or chew for the baby. I really don't have time for any additional steps.

Works FLAWLESSLY and all parts unscrew for thorough cleaning. Just like one I had over 40 years for my human babies. This time it’s being used for making bird mash and food for a dog awaiting dental surgery 🙌🏻 This is a most helpful kitchen tool that requires no electricity to run!! Highly recommend!!
