Silent Witness SW011 - Dual Facing Dash Camera

Alright for the price but quite fiddly to use in the car.

The camera itself is very good - the quality is clear and crisp and it provides reasonable rear view pictures. It's easy to use and navigate the controlsMy main problem with this item is the quality of the mount/bracket. Once attached the windscreen the suction cup can hold the camera in place for a maximum of 60 seconds before the bracket falls off the window and crashes onto the dashboard. If you drive over a pothole or speed bump the camera and bracket immediately fall off. The fixing mechanism tend to become loose too which means the camera does not stay at the desired angle. The bracket is also quite large and intrusiveA very good camera let down by the bracket

I possibly recived a defective unit, so this review may be biased.After finding a SD card that worked (it seems very fussy about this, a brand new Kingston 32GB and several others I had around didn't work).Reasonably well made (plastic). Functionality, features and recording were good - it even has a GPS module - software app worked well, this displays video, G-force and GPS. Has a G-force sensor and write protects the video file in the event of a bump.Sadly however the date and timestamp went wierd when the unit was powered down. After leaving the unit off overnight the date had gained 2 days. Did a quick test - set the correct time and date then left the unit off for about 15mins, when it was switched back on it had gained about 1 hour.Excellent no fuss service from Rhino Car & Van who I bought if from. They were very helpful with returning the unit and supplied a pre-paid shipping package to return it with.

Already had one of these for one car and due to the amount of idiots in the road decided to get a second one for other car. So easy to use and set up and quality of picture playback is good, not perfect. It enough to see what's going on if any altercations !! Doesn't pick up rear very good as most of it is in car but again worth having that extra facility for peace of mind

Have issues with turning itself off during driving with the first order received and the replacement, it appears to be a manufacturing fault.

I bought this as a Christmas present and heis really pleased with it.it gives an excellent all round view of the car. It is very easy to use.

The picture quality is GARBAGE, not 720p like the man i asked directly at silent witness !!! its very very low like 320 which does not make for good viewing if in the even you have an accident or other... there are many other dash cams out there that are much better. the REAR facing cam is basically only good for seeing the front 2 in the car, anything else you may as well whistle !! I mean, why do i want to record myself driving !!!
