Bought this about 18 months ago and was somewhat dubious about how well it would work - was it just going to be another bit of kit that would end up in the local charity shop? Well, it worked from day one! Clean though our house is, the amount of dust that came out of our 3-year-old mattress was, frankly, embarrassing. But the real plus was that my ankles were no longer covered in itchy red bumps of a morning - and haven't been since! You don't have to vacuum every week - we find every 3 months works for us. A very small amount of dust goes into the container and I suspect we could leave it longer between vacuums but I don't want to risk those itchy bumps! Well worth what we paid for it! It's got great suction, an excellent cord length, and filters last for ages. It's also easy enough to manipulate along the very edges and corners of the mattress. I wouldn't be without it.

This Jimmy come with a kettle type plug in power lead which is very easy to detach from cleaner which, can be very frustrating. What num nuts thought that was a good idea ill never know. However it seams to clean ok so that side I'm satisfied with. I would have probably gave 5 starts if it was not for the power lead.

This is an excellent product, arrived yesterday and the amount of dust it pulled from my mattress actually made me feel sick I had been laying on this. It is easy to use and glides over mattress with minimal effort, easy to empty and comes with small brush to clean cylinder. It is well worth the money.

It's a great way of transferring the dust from your bed directly into your nose and throat. I am coughing, wheezing and with a runny nose as I write this. It gets an embarrassing amount of dust from the bed - so far so good. But then you have to clean it - each of the parts in the photo get covered and it takes a good 5 to 10 minutes of scattering dust all around to clean it. It needs a thorough redesign or it's mostly useless. If you have a dust allergy, you get closer to it this way than if you left it in your bed.

This seemed pricey for what it was even after a discount but I am now convinced that it is actually good value. It is well made and weighty which is useful because this is a powerful vacuum and certainly not a toy. We used it on our mattresses to remove dust and hopefully mites. Even though we had already vacuumed with a floor vacuum extension this unit pulled off a lot of fine powder dust which I am suspicious is actually mites. No idea if the heat or UV are effective but just the vacuum alone makes it a worthwhile addition to our household and the beds will now be done every week. If you think you need one you are probably right.
