Pretty good book for SO treatment
This is a pretty good workbook however it still seems toBe geared towards hands on S.O.’s. I still like it better than the one we use at our program and it focuses more on the whole person including their goals for change.

Waste of money!
Huge book same crap over and over could be a lot shorter. If they didn't repeat same crap over and over to make the dumb book! We were forced to purchase this because of BS charges...

Great implementation guide
A great way to implement the GLM whether having someone use it as a self-guide or guiding someone through the exercises.

redundant - clients find it hard to use - good explanation of GLM
The best thing I can say about this workbook is it's fidelity to the GL model. The worst is that it is redundant. The most common complaint from clients is that they do not understand why they are asked the same questions over and over in the workbook. Actually, the questions are not identical, but they come across that way to clients, which is boring and confusing. This book could and should be trimmed - after field testing with clients and integrating feedback about the user experience. I used to use this book, but have discontinued it - only using a few sections at most. Could be used as a reference, however, to help structure your use of the GLM in treatment.
