My first 12 pack arrived and I was hesitant because it was a new brand for me. However, these are delicious sardines and the olive oil is so tasty. The cans open easily. These sardines are a good source of protein. I just received my second order -- another 12 pack order and look forward to more wonderful sandwiches, salads, etc. P.S. I just received my third order of these delicious sardines. I love these on crackers -- especially during these hot months. I wanted to share that these are packaged so carefully that is it truly impressive. P.P.S. I just received my latest order. What a mess! I'm unsure as to whether this problem is due to poor packing or indifferent/careless shipping. Two of the sardine cans had to thrown out as did the carton which had what appears to be oil stains. These cans were leaking olive oil. It has a perfectly suitable expiration date. I'm sorry that I won't be ordering this product again. BUYER BEWARE.

Very good sardines with a great taste. Connetable is the oldest cannery in the world having been opened in 1853. They are headquartered in Dournenez, Brittany, France. However, i have to ask the box showed the name Connetable but it also says Product of Moroco! Is this correct? Is the French brand using sardines from Moroco? I would have thought the sardines came from the Brittany area.

This is my first foray into eating sardines. From other reviews I've seen, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I initially started looking at sardines because they're reputed to be more nutrient dense with FAR lower risk for mercury contamination. They are lower in protein than tuna, but I feel the other nutritional benefits outweigh the protein issue. Honestly, it really isn't much different from tuna, IMO; and I'll continue with that comparison because most people are probably familiar with canned tuna. The appearance is different, being the bodies of several small fish rather than a portion of a larger fish. More color variation, seeing the actual shape of the fish, etc. Nothing off putting for me, though for people who need their food to look appetizing right out of the can, it might potentially be an issue. Taste wise, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference if i didn't know. I could see making a sardine salad sandwich or sardine casserole just as easily as a tuna salad sandwich tuna casserole and being none the wiser. So, if you like tuna, odds are you'll like skinless, boneless sardines.

These are the best skinless and boneless sardines for the price. Worth a try. I've ordered them a number of times.
