If you look at the "star" ratings they are either 5 stars...or...1 star, which tells me that it depends on the critters you're trying to chase off. In my case I'm dealing with field mice or pack rats...living up against open desert landscape. For me, these things have worked perfectly...no new holes which use to appear almost daily. A tip, living in AZ, the ground is extremely hard, so I placed them down an exsiting hole dug by my critters...so it transmits all through their tunnel system.The term "ultrasonic" is deceiving....these are not dog whistles...you can here the sound. I hear it only if I'm out in the yard, nothing is heard from inside the house. So be award that these emit an audible sound.

I read lots of reviews b4 purchasing. I think they key to this product is the soil that you have. It clearly says that the more clay-like the soil the better, the more sand-like the soil the least chance of working. We installed a bunch of new bushes and it was like watching a movie, they were being sucked into the ground! But once we installed these and replaced the eaten bushes, we haven't had any problems. I actually think these are working well......

This version really sucks. They arrive dead, no charge. And once you have in the sunshine they still won’t hold a charge. They buzz every few seconds only if the sun shines. Not every 30 seconds like advertised but every 5 seconds.I have bought three different brands of these and this brand by far is the worst. Horrible product.Sorry to your company but you must already know you’re selling a bad product. This product co,es with two mole repellent but both do not hold any kind of charge.

Working. No new holes in my garden. Every morning I listen for the sound since I do not know how long they will last, but sp far so good. Pleased!

Easy to install and it worked like a charm . This product does exactly what it says it will do! We had a mole problem in our backyard and these pesky rodents can destroy your lawn, we thought about setting traps and using baits to get rid of them but instead installs these and within days they were gone.

These work well...for no more than 3-4 months. We’ve owned a few dozen (over the years) & they all eventually fail in this timeframe. Even when you install them correctly in the ground, they are CONSTANTLY EXPOSED TO THE WEATHER ELEMENTS and eventually get water in the “guts” of the repeller until & thus fail.Unfortunately the “new and improved” (model) has the same issue as the other models, so be forewarned...

We had a terrible time with moles this year. Our typical home remedy of garden hose + dish soap was only effective short-term. Every time we chased them off, they'd return a week or two later. Now we have these things nestled in their old mounds. It has been several weeks now without a new mole mound. The noise it makes it a little annoying, but we can't hear it from inside the house unless the window is open. I'll take the slightly annoying intermittent tone over mole mounds any day of the year.

I tried battery units, they were loud. Bought two packs of these, installed 2 of them after charging for 3 days. They both stopped working about 4 days later. I tired charging them again and reinstalling into tube. Nothing. I tossed the boxed or I would be returning these! The beeps are louder than I thought (on par with the battery units that take D batteries) and can be heard from quite a distance. Other solar units may work better but I can't recommend these and I'm now out $50 and still have gophers/moles.
