USA Gear Action Camera Chest Harness – Chest Mount with Adjustable Straps, 4 Point Adjustment, Full Articulation, Tripod Screw, J-Hook Adapter – Compatible with GoPro Hero 10, Dragon Touch, and More

I bought this harness to record bike rides with my Nikon Coolpix AW100.The mount fastens easily and securely to the camera case by means of a small screw and the whole assembly snaps onto the harness plate via a quick-release system.Went on a 135 mile ride in the hot Jamaican sun and barely noticed I was wearing the harness. The straps are pretty comfortable and have a good amount of stretch to accommodate hard breathing. The shoulder straps can be lengthened or shortened to lower or raise the camera on your chest to achieve the most comfortable position.I only have one gripe and that's with the quick-release. I haven't been able to slide or snap the mount off the strap plate since it is attached very firmly. When I pull back on the mount to disengage it I notice that the plastic turns a shade lighter which in my experience means that it is about to deform. I therefore have to resort in unscrewing the camera every time I want to do a hand-held shot.As per the photos provided here this harness is best suited for either upright bikes (mountain, cruiser etc.) or running/hiking. Do not use this when riding a road bike! The device provides some backward tilt, but not nearly enough for a road bike, even when riding on the hoods or on the bar. To get the horizon in the shot I actually had to release the bar altogether and ride no-handed.Other than that it's a decent product for a reasonable price.

I got this for a rugged camera (Olympus TG4) as it provides the adaptor to screw into the camera. It was easy to put on and adjust, in fact I really didn't have to mess with it. It works just fine for what I need it to do. I used a carabiner to attach my camera by it's strap to one of the straps of this harness just for redundancy. With the adaptor for a "real" camera, the camera sits further away from your body than if you attached directly as with a GoPro or similar. This may get in some people's way, but it didn't bother me. I was wade fishing, so I would think that if it would be cumbersome, I would have felt that way doing this activity. In fact, I wasn't expecting to be able to see the screen while wearing it but I was able to see it just fine, so that's a plus. For those wanting to also use this with the Olympus Tough TG4, I will add that because the microphones are located on the top of the camera, you are likely to hear every breath you take while recording video.

I am not using a Gopro or action camera. I am using my point and shoot. The screw is a bit short, so my camera turns due to movement. Easy fix. I just wrapped the hand strap around the harness. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I am using it for making a video on a long distance backpack trip. I needed something hands free for to record river crossing etc. Hopefully I can update soon when I do a practice run.

It cant be beat for this price. The camera hook doesnt rotate up, but I think that is be design. I raised the camera center up on my chest by adjusting the straps. I am using a Kodak Playsport and it seems to be fine. Im not jumping dirt hills or jumping out of planes, more hiking and low impact stuff, so it should be fine. If you are doing that stuff, it may still work, but this price is a fair trade.

I'm having a heck of a time adjusting it so it will record what I want recorded. Its going to be different for the two different sports, so I'll have to make something for the one, which can be removed when I'm doing the other. Nothing wrong with the product, it just doesn't work as well as I'd hoped, yet...

Great quality! Exactly what I was looking for to turn my point and shoot waterproof/shockproof Nikon AW-100 camera into a virtual Go-Pro. I am using it to film my winter skiing adventures. Perfect fit and enough adjustment room to fit over a bulky jacket. Adjustability of strap system and camera angle are great! LOVE IT!

Worked as described. Had to modify the mount to fit my ION camera but was more of an issue witht he camera than the chest mount.

Camera can slip position if mountain biking. Isn't uncomfortable to wear, quality is good. Just a shame that the camera slips position even when screwed to the max, it's because it's top heavy, so I'm left to wonder if this will the the case with most these harnesses. Put blu-tac on the back to keep it up right.

i have an aktivcam action cam was not sure if it would fit on this harness with a bit of working on how to attach it to the clip was tight but it fitted well pleased of the harness thank you so much buy and try if you only have a cheap camera like me :)

This is a great piece of kit, my stepson is action camera mad and was going on holiday abroad with his dad. As there was a water park nearby he was desperate to be able to record his many runs down the waterslides. Very good price and it's nice and study, well made and I'd definitely recommend it

Excellent - just what I needed instead of wearing my camera on my riding hat where I couldn’t see whether it was on or not. I can now see exactly what is going on with my camera.
