“It’s beautiful when my husband brings me flowers,” says my guilt-tripping wife. I agree that it’s tall and majestic and certainly has the Aalto shape, but it’s unfinished. As a chemist, I’ve dealt with glassware and even blown simple ones, and this piece is not fire-polished. That means that its edges are still razor sharp. It could be that our particular piece missed that final step, but we’re not going to perform the multi-piece trial purchase to find out. Perhaps we can use this forum to hear from others who, running their fingers CAREFULLY over the edge, find it to be smooth or sharp?

conosco questa casa finlandese da quasi 40 anni ed il design di questo vaso di Aalto ha fatto la storia; ho scelto questo modello in quanto è delle dimensioni perfette per essere uno stupendo oggetto di arredo. Una nota: dovevo assolutamente fare un regalo di Natale ma purtroppo non era più disponibile in Milano, nemmeno al negozio ufficiale della casa, aperto da pochi mesi...con Prime lo ho avuto in 1 giorno ed anche risparmiando sul prezzo

The vase arrived promptly and it is gorgeous! It may be a factory second but the price is right and this is blown glass so it looks more beautiful with slight imperfections (in my opinion). But the imperfections are ever so slight. Thank you!
