Intake Duct Scoop For VW GOLF MK7/MK7.5 GTI R Red

EDIT * ONE YEAR LATER* These are still on my car, I have had zero issues with them. The red did fade to orange ( perhaps a heat issue? ) so I just painted them white to match my car. I’m still convinced they do absolutely nothing but look cool from the exterior, and catch eyes when kids or non-car people see under the hood at meets or shows. Would I buy again? Sure. They look cool, don’t do much. Easy enough install, and way cheaper than the ($170) ECS alternative, plus no branding. There is no need to remove the entire grille, just untab the top, and pull it out as needed. You also do not need to use the provided stencil. If your grille has the dual vents like my mk7.5 ( see pictures ) just use a dremel and trim along the inside outline of those vents and it’ll be a perfect fit. They look great when the hood is open. Can you see them outside the car? Maybe. If the angle is right or you are far enough away from the grille and are really looking for them. The red on these does NOT match the red of the GTI PP emblem, just an FYI if that matters to you. Only the red version adds horsepower, sorry if you bought black. DISCLAIMER: These do not add horsepower. The GTI is already the fastest legal street car known to mankind, clearly.

Quick and easy install. Doesn't include directions and template is made of cheap paper. You will spend more time scraping the template off than install. I like it overall. 👌

I heard these don't really make more power or anything. But they look dope and it's certainly not going to hurt the power levels. It's a good kit, just as easy as the ECS kit for less money. Go for it, if you're considering them

Just like the title states, I was not aware that I would have to cut holes in my existing part to fit these in to make for the airflow. I did not install them yet, and plan to visit a junkyard where I can attempt to purchase the black plastic part that will need holes cut in it. I would feel better attempting to cut holes in a spare part before I disassemble my own car to then cut holes in it to fit these air ducts in. Three stars from me because the vendor could have been more clear in the description that "some assembly and fabrication required". I will update this review if\when I get to attempting this on spare parts.
