Keep in mind though, if you’re using bad water in your coffee to begin with, I’m not sure what your results will be. For me, I use zerowater filters which bring my normal tap water down to 0ppm before I fill a gallon-size jug and add this product. This gallon of water usually lasts me 2-3 days and I drink a lot of coffee! So I think one box will probably last me somewhere around a month.

I'm a bit of a coffee nerd and only drink light roast specialty coffee these days. I've tried a bunch of different waters for coffee, and so far this is the best. It produces a balanced, sweet cup with all the notes still shining through, which is my preferred profile. FWIW, the ingredients are sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride, and it reads 100-115 ppm on my cheapo TDS meters. Sure, it's a bit expensive for what you get, but overall it doesn't add much cost per cup, so I think it's worth it. I use a ZeroWater filter to get my tap water down to 0 ppm and then add one packet per gallon.

I use this for coffee and tea. It really is better. I know people may be skeptical, but minerals can do a LOT to influence what gets extract and what doesn’t, and to what extent. That makes a big difference in flavor profile, on top of the slight taste the minerals contribute themselves. It can also make the texture silkier.I bought a big glass gallon jug with a metal lid here on Amazon and I fill it with my ultra-filtered water so I don’t worry about it collecting microplastic particles over time. Distilled water would also be fine. Tap water has its own varied assortment of minerals and chemicals, so if for some reason you don’t get good results with this, that’s probably why.

If you’re an avid coffee drink I would highly suggest adding perfect coffee water to not only your arsenal but your daily coffee routine. Once you add a packet to a gallon of water you’re ready to jump into a whole new realm of coffee drinking. Can’t wait to try this with other roasts, so far have tried with a medium roast and it just enhances the flavor profile to a point where I can’t see myself making coffee at home without it. I’ve only tried using perfect coffee water with my moka pot, but could totally see myself trying it with my pore over as well.

I used one Perfect Coffee Water packet in 1 gallon of filtered water to enhance the flavor of my cold brew coffee. I don’t want to make coffee without it. I don’t want to drink coffee made without it.So unless you want to be dependent on modifying the water for the most brilliant expression of coffee for the rest of your coffee life- I’d stay far away.
