Worked great, and the wrench had TWO useful ends, one for the Torx, and one for the weird European star thing bolts. Hardest part is getting the panels off, and I recommend getting a pry kit for cars. That helped wonders.

This was a perfect fit and easy install for a 2009 Jetta Sportwagen. I liked that the took came with it, which meant I didn't have to buy anything else. No instructions come with the item but it's as easy as unbolting the old one and then bolting this one in it's place, after you pull off the door trim, which is also fairly easy. Videos online will show you how it's done. Even if you don't think you are mechanically inclined, try replacing this part yourself. You'll find it's an easy and satisfying job.

I just installed this part. Took me about 20 minutes with only partially removing the panel. Works great, saved me a ton of money!

After 10 years my original factory latch gave out and I replaced it with this one. Better than the factory latch, smoother.

Can't beat the price! I don't even care if this breaks in 2 years. I honestly might just buy a backup now to have in case. It's a 15 minute job and works perfectly! OEM being $300+ for my make and model is a crime. I'll take my chances on the $35 unit!!
