Seriously large capacity without feeling like a huge bag!
Backpack diaper bag just arrived and I was so excited upon opening it that it warranted an immediate review!First off, it arrived in 14 days to Wisconsin from China- you just can't beat that kind of turnaround from something ordered overseas.I half expected to be disappointed when it arrived since there were no reviews yet and the price was so reasonable. Imagine my surprise when I went to the mail box and found a package laying next to it that was rigid enough I would've believed it had thick cardboard or thin wood inside. Nope, this backpack has a spine encased all the way around it to help hold it's structure! No hard plastic piece resting against your back like some of the cheaper "tough/rugged" backpacks I've looked at in stores. So that was a bonus for me that was not reflected in the description.Next, I can't rave enough about how much stuff I was able to pack in there! I was previously using an ErgoBaby canvas diaper bag that matched my baby carrier. I had ordered the ErgoBaby diaper bag online also and was dumbfounded when it showed up and looked like a suitcase. That diaper bag was gorgeous but totally not worth the headache of trying to lug it in and out of grocery store carts and cramming it into the back seat of even out large SUV was no small feat. Also my previous diaper bag was so stupidly setup that I could never find any of my son's stuff without a lot of effort or unpacking of the entire bag. And ironically, I couldn't fit the carrier in that diaper bag along with my son's essentials, a small bag of mommy toiletries and my wallet! This Aardman bag not only swallowed all the stuff I had previously in the diaper bag but also had a perfectly - sized empty space in the far bottom of the front pocket to carry my ErgoBaby Cristy Turlington limited edition print baby carrier. If you look at the listed pictures carefully you can get a good idea of how many pockets there are- a ton. I strongly suggest you check other sites for this bag though because it's sold under many names at all the usual places to buy products directly from China. Some of the other sites had better pictures than Amazon has if you REALLY need to know what it looks like that in detail. For reference this is what I managed to cram in this bag (and still have room to spare):-Potette travel potty with the silicone reusable liner attached-small pack of flushable wipes-handful of folded paper towels to wipe out the potty-one change of clothes for a 2.5 year old-two pairs of cloth training pants-about half a dozen travel-size bottles of various cleansers, lotions, creams, sanitizer-two tampons-one inhaler and one epi-pen-one oversized ladies trifold wallet-a sharpie, a pencil, a pen-the changing pad that came with it-the bottle insulator bag that came with it (which I stuffed with travel toddler snacks and a set of toddler silverware)-my WIC folder-small zippered bag stuffed with coupons-travel-size pack of tissues-travel-size bottle of ibuprofen tablets-travel-size bottle of benadryl tablets-key ring with far too many trinkets on it ;-)-emergency folding multi-tool (kinda like a Swiss Army knife)-small wet/dry bag meant for 2-3 cloth diapers-standard sized canvas ErgoBaby carrierI want exaggerating when I said it holds a ton of stuff! This is our 4th kid and I still feel the need to be over prepared whenever we leave the house so I can say with absolute certainty that this backpack will not diappoint when it comes to capacity! The colors of this backpack also happen to be the exact colors of my carrier, not by accident on my part though; I searched high and low for a bag that would coordinate.Stitching looks to be done professionally; no missing stiches, no ripped and resewn stitches. The fabric is good quality but definitely lighter than my previous diaper bag (in a good way). I couldn't find any info on what the material is but my best guess is cotton canvas for the exterior, plastic ribbing for the spine, and nylon for most of the interior. All of the zippers are legit- don't appear to be subpar quality. The embroidered logo on the front is done well, no loose thread, et cetera. There is a bungee elastic strap system that closes with a standard plastic buckle inside of the back pocket (probably to keep larger items from migrating) that appears to be made with quality materials. The shoulder straps are canvas on the outside, foam in the middle with a meshy layer against mom or dad's skin/shirt for breathability. The straps are sewn to a seatbelt-like webbing strap across the back so as not to rip off of the backpack when loaded. And interestingly enough, the shoulder straps also have a buckle at the bottom of each where the padded part meets the rest of the adjustable webbing material so you could unclasp them entirely if need-be. The changing pad was lackluster- the usual small thin variety you get with nearly all diaper bags in a matching fabric, you decide if that's a deal-breaker for you. I never use the changing pads that come with diaper bags, so I could've cared less. All in all, this backpack has no drawbacks for me that I can see and only time will tell if it holds up well. I always come back and update my reviews if something changes over time in using a product so unless there's a later edit to this review you can assume that it's still doing its job and functioning as it was expected to!Hope my review helps make your purchasing decision a little easier!

Lasted 3 years of every day use and only ripped a little!
I received a dark purple version of this bag at my baby shower and it has by far been the best thing ever. This bag held up for three years straight before finally ripping in the top, but it's still going strong. This bag holds everything! There's space for diapers, wipes, extra clothes, bottles, snacks, toys. We have literally used this bag every single day for almost 3 years through daycare, grocery shopping, just running around doing daily errands.I literally toss this bag in the washing machine and dryer to clean it, I've never had a problem. After almost 3 years the top finally started to rip a bit where the metal in the top is so I pulled them out and tossed them and the bag is still working heat fine. I put some pictures of it, it didn't mess with zipper at all and all of the rest of the zippers are still working just fine as well.We have baby #2 on the way and I definitely plan on getting another one of these as my son calls the one we have "his backpack" so he packs it with this he wants. Would absolutely buy again!
