I purchased it as part of a bug out system in my small truck. I purcased for both the metal water bottle and the metal cup. I wanted something that I could boil water in. didn't expect much because it was cheap. But I use it frequently when I am in the "sticks". It works well. The gasket holds so that it doesn't leak rolling around in an old truck. I have not boiled water in it yet.

It's an old design that's tried and tested. Tough to beat it. Obviously, you could spend a lot more and get a lighter weight set.

I used canteens in the military, and this is a very good reproduction of the original. If you want a reproduction this is a good buy.

Product had broken parts. We personally are having to fix (by choice). Took over a month for it to even arrive.

Cover had slight placement issues for the velcro but it didnt effect usage and still works just fine the only thing i could really wish was better is maybe if the cup stayed on the canteen so you can pull it off and not having it just stay behind in the cover
