For me, This Shampoo is Amazing! First off, I live in a rural area and our water comes from a well that is high in sulfer, very stinky stuff that leaves my hair stiff and dry to the point that it wrecks my fine hair. Needless to say I have tried so many shampoos and they have all had the same results, stiff lusterless hair and an itchy scalp. Thought I'd give this one a try. Why not? My hair is a disaster, NOTHING TO LOSE.... OMG! As soon as I started to lather it up it began to soften. I gave it a second lathering. Even better! I put in the conditioner and waited two minutes. The conditioner rinsed out clean. My hair brushed out easily. I could just cry. The final test, what's it going to feel like dry? Flipping perfect! It feels like it did before all the damage. It is so soft, no stiffness at all and it's shining! Bonus, smells great and not a single itch! To say I'm surprised is a complete understatement. I'm freaking ecstatic! This shampoo is hands down the best one I've ever tried. Look, for anyone out there who's about to throw in the towel on ever having hair that feels and looks great again, do yourself a favor and just give this a try. All I know is that it works for me and I'm a happy camper. The desperation shampoo shopping is now over! :)

I had noticed a change in the amount of hair loss I have been experiencing which was a daily handful. I attributed it to my thyroid disease. However, I have been diagnosed with thyroid disease for over 45 years, but I met with a dermatologist who advised I have alopecia. Went on biotin, other hair loss meds and did a variety of changes suggested by the doctor to alleviate the problem. To no avail. My pharmacy suggested Pura D'Or, so I tried it. The 1st time I used it, my hair felt thicker, luxurious and was soft. I couldn't believe it. I have stayed with the thickening shampoo and conditioner and have noticed a dramatic difference in my hair loss. Much improved!! I read the reviews because I was curious as to how others were doing with it and what caught my attention was the smell factor which I had been oblivious to because when I applied the products to my hair, the change was clear. This stuff works. I then paid attention to the fragrance of the shampoo and it is unusual, but here's the thing. It dissipates when applying the conditioner and I don't feel it's an unpleasant aroma, it's a hearty, but not unpleasant. And honestly, since these products are improving my hair, that's the primary reason for me. I see a marked difference when I clear the tub, brush my hair and put my fingers through it when applying thickening mouse!! Very little hair loss. Highly recommend PURA D'OR!!!!

I wanted to write this review because I think that this product has not gotten a fair review with some users. To start I would like to say that I am also on the war against thinning hair which is why I purchased this set. I think that some would want it to be a miracle cure but the fact is that when one has thinning hair the biggest culprit is coming from within. Thinning hair is the result of that problem. Before using the product I read the ingredients and I was pleasantly surprised. I want to stop here and say that this product does not state that it will make your hair soft but rather help with hair loss/thinning and the ingredients in these, if you do your research are spot on. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and the first thing I noticed was that my hair admittingly did feel a lot dryer than when shampooing with other shampoos. However that wasn't the reason for my purchase. I wanted something that would help me battle hair loss on the outside while I worked within to figure out what was causing it in the first place. When doing my research what I learned is that shampoo opens up the hair strands and conditioner closes them. So I began washing my hair and leaving it on for 2 minutes then rinsing and applying a homemade mask consisting of honey, olive oil and 1 egg. Warm it up and left it in my hair for 30 minutes. Then I rinsed and continued on with the conditioner leaving it on for 2 minutes as well. The results were mind blowing. My hair feels so much better and stronger. Adding the hair mask made all the difference while still allowing the shampoo and conditioner the time that would be needed to aid in the process. This is a tool in the arsenal against hairloss but it will not do it alone. I have changed my diet and added minoxidil as well as hair oils, battling it from all directions. I hope that the negative reviews will not detour you from at the very least trying it because as I said before, many of the ingredients are exactly what your hair needs. Hope this helps. I read the reviews after I purchased the product and almost got discouraged after reading them but decided to try it anyway BECAUSE of what was in the product. Hair thinning is really difficult to deal with and I was glad to find this set. I will definitely give it at least 6 months before making any decisions as to what the product does or does not do. For now I will give it 5 stars until I've given it enough time to work.

I have purchased this shampoo many times. I would give it five stars. It’s a little expensive for the size of the battle, but it’s worth every penny. I definitely noticed that after not using the product for a couple of months that I started shedding way more hair than I was previously while using both the shampoo and conditioner together. I highly recommend it if you haven’t used it and are seeing a lot of shedding hair in the shower. My hair was extra thick while I was using this. The only problem I have had with this product was my most recent delivery came packaged if you’ve ordered this before you know that it comes packaged in plastic and then wrapped in plastic as a set and the problem I had is I received two shampoos which I didn’t realize because I’ve never had an issue like this, but I didn’t realize it until I was in the shower and I used the shampoo first I went to go use conditioner and it was also shampoo. I had to double check, but unfortunately, I was sent to shampoos then are both now open. I’m on a super tight budget. I’m going to email the company directly to find out if they can send me a complementary conditioner based on my order history or if they would take back an open shampoo.

Don’t love the smell or the price, but I gotta admit I will be a repeat buyer, because after only three weeks my hair feels much healthier Edit : why did this jump from 50$ to 100$? It hadn’t said it was on sale or anything the first time I bought it... fishy. And insanely overpriced.

Not really good for hair...

This is my second order of PURA DOR. I love the feel of my hair after using PURA DOR. I am a senior and my hair was very brittle and dry. I don't have to wash my hair everyday because PURA DOR leaves my hair soft & manageable.

Love the product but I was charged $84.95 for this duo package but now see the same product for $48.95! Not impressed with being charged an extra $36.00.
