Simple pizza oven

Was going to give bad review because it took so long to ship, but when it got here it made sense. They really make sure it’s protected during shipping. Works great for the little pizza oven I made out of bricks and pavers.

good, but make sure it fits!

This is a great stone for the oven for more than just pizza. Given that it's so thick, it does take a while to heat up but the benefit is that it has enough thermal mass to keep things nice and even once it gets there and works great for pizza to give a nice, crispy crust! I make my own pizza dough every time we use it and cooking time is about 10 minutes for a thin crust and 15ish for a thicker crust.Clean up....well....this is a porous stone by design so if you cook directly on it like I do for pizza and breads, it's never going to look new again. That being said, when it cools down, scrape it off and it works great. Don't use soap as it will just absorb that and your food will taste like soap.The only negative about this stone is that it won't fit a standard household oven so I had to cut it. Not a problem in that I have a wet saw that made it easy and took about 5 minutes. Can always rent a tile saw if you don't have one and are so inclined. I'd still recommend this stone as it's so much better than all the thinner and cheaper offerings out there.

Customer Service

The product I believe would have been satisfactory, however the customer service at California Pizza Stone is not. I originally tried to stop this stone from shipping after realizing it would not fit in my oven.It was shipped anyway and I never unpacked it. I returned it back in good faith and now I am being told I cannot get reimbursed all of my money. I paid 248.00 including shipping for this product and was reimbursed only 95.59 refunded back and still fighting for the rest. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

What a pizza stone

My husband loves this stone! Now there is no pizza to big or sliding off the stone . Now every night is pizza night !
