Fit the Bill
My son needed a non-fiction book to write a book report and this fit the bill. Very informative, but my son would have enjoyed learning more about current teams. Book is more focused on early teams that he cares nothing about, however the information provided on the history of the World Cup was well written. Worth the read for a young soccer fan.

Kid loves these books
Finally found a book my 9yo is interested in reading. He loves this series and is learning as well. He loves to share the true facts. It is nice to see he is finally reading because he wants to and not being forced to. Definitely buying more.

I think it was good, but they never really talked about other world ...
I think it was good, but they never really talked about other world cups besides the one between Brazil and Italy. Also I think they could have mentioned more about other players. They only really talked about Pele, and nobody else. - written by my 9 year old

Not appropriate for young readers
I bought this book for my 7 year old son... We picked it out together because he loves sports and wanted to know more about the World Cup. He is an excellent reader so the level of difficulty was great. Unfortunately, the topics were too mature and we have put it aside... The book covers topics such as Hitler's genocide and the execution of Mussolini. Parents beware if purchasing for a young readers.
