Easy to install
Works great with the Samsung 990 Pro. I didn't need the Eluteng heatsink, as the Samsung drive comes with one. Installed in a PCIe x16 3.0 slot, it's super fast. Despite my older system, it was a huge upgrade from my 500GB Samsung NVMe. On my Z97 motherboard, boot time from the initial power-up to OS login is just 21 seconds.

never know what youll get from amazon and third party sellers when it comes to computer parts, but this one is well made and a good value.

Doesn't fit PCIe slot properly
Never recognize the NVMe. Don't waste your money, time and effort in this piece of crap. Lack of an efficient customer service.

Great adapter
The media could not be loaded. I own a very small business I built myself and I do build and sell gaming computers, so since I brought a used motherboard w/ a cpu that does have NvMe support but no NvMe slot on the motherboard, I decided to buy an adapter to get my m.2 SSD working, it functions as it should as you can tell when it boots to the OS on the video I provided, installation is ever so slightly challenging since there is no instructions, I had to take a look of the product image to figure out which goes to which one, the build quality including the heatsink even tho my SSD never meant to heat up due to the PCIE X1 speed limitation and my SSD being PCIE Gen3 supported, speeds probably top out at the maximum that the PCIE X1 can handle. It’s so compact that you can barely see on that PC I have, although ONE con I wish it can be improved is that the green light is probably too bright, I just don’t like to see it blinking while the pc is on even if I’m building a pc that has good aesthetics. You will need patience when putting it together, but once you get it all figured out then it’s a good value for the money product.

I installed without bracket
It as tight in the computer next to video card. Slipped it in without using bracket. I did install the bracket in a lower slot because of the vent holes in it.

Does not fit in PCI slots properly
While the adapter looks nice and is a great price, it unfortunately is slightly too long and thus does not fit properly. When attempting to install, it will not fully slot into the pci slot and is held up by the full/half height metal bracket. It never fully seats into the pci slot. I also wish there were included instructions for this product.

very tight fit
Installed this today and while it works, I barely got this thing to fit. They need to shorten up the end of the pcie board that screws into the bracket and adjust where the screw holes are just a little bit to make this easier to install. With the low price point, if they can adjust this item so the fit isnt so bad, this would be a no brainer to add a m.2 drive slot with.

Nicely implemented and performs as expected. Great price too.
Nice PCIe M.2 adapter. I tested this on a machine with PCIe 4.0 to make sure I was getting full performance. Be aware that this is a PCIe x1 adapter, so you will not be seeing the full performance of PCIE 4.0 drives. I tested this with a WD SN850X 2 TB (a drive which, at its native x4 speed can reach 6GB/sec read), this adapter gives me 1.7 MB/sec. This is as expected, given that it's x1, so no problem with it. Just be aware.Beyond that, assembly and installation is simple. It's just a matter of attaching the backplate to the adapter with one of the included screws and plugging it in. The adapter is automatically recognized by windows and Windows sees it as a standard M.2 drive, as if it was plugged into the motherboard. There are several thermal pads included and the heatsink does a good job at keeping the drive cool. I recorded 41 degrees at idle and 64 degrees after a large file copy to the drive. All things considered, especially the price, this is an excellent adapter. Easily recommended.

Slim and compact. Comes with everything needed.
I got this NVMe adapter because it was perfect for the x1 slot on my motherboard.Being an x1 connection, the NVMe SSD is limited to a maximum of 2GB/s or 16GT/s. Since the x1 slot on my mobo was a Gen3, the max speed was 1GB/s or 8GT/s and was more than enough for my needs. The size and fit were fine for a double-sided 2280 drive.I am not sure the heatsink is necessary at these slower speeds, but it is a welcome addition. The SSD is held in place with a separate screw from the heatsink if you decide not to use the cooler. With the heatsink, the adapter is heavy enough that you should use the support bracket.I did not have any fit issues with the full-sized bracket.

Doesn't fit PCIe slot properly.
The bracket and PCIe slot spacing is incorrect (too wide) which causes you to force it into the slot, bending the pcb of this adapter. It's 1-2mm too long from the end of the card to the PCIe slot connector.I think it's poor quality control on the actual metal bracket.
