Northern Industries TNR Humane Cat Trap with Rear Sliding Access Door and Trap Door Stop/Tailsaver Feature (10x12x36) T101236TNR

I purchased this item after something or somebody knocked a large flower pot off a pedestal in my yard. At first I thought it might be a vandal as the pot was quite large and heavy and I did not think a large enough animal could live in the vicinity as my neighborhood is all houses. There are no empty lots. I had some difficulty learning to set it but I found a video that showed how to do it.Soon I caught several racoons and opposums. One was so large it was frightening. I took them all to an area several miles away that is all grass and trees and let them out.My only complaint is that on a few occasions something took the bait without causing the entry door to shut. It was probably a mouse or a bird so I am not concerned. If you put a little weight on the platform that causes the trap door to shut you can make it more sensitive.

First off, I didn't order this trap but got it anyway. Very nice, heavy duty and well made. I guess one can never have too many traps.

Love the product. Its a lighter weight then I am used to, but is very well made. I have used both the single door and rear access door traps, and prefer the rear access. That is the main reason I bought this trap. It works like a charm. The only negative is the customer service. Did not receive shipping email and the tracking showed that it was "lost" on the way to the shipping carrier. An email to customer service was all it took to get the shipment going. While I was waiting, I did see negative comments about the shipping, so I was a bit nervous. Even with the slow start to shipping, the trap did arrive within the arrival window. I would definitely order from this company again and refer to others.

I used this trap for TNR. It is sturdy and good quality. The rear sliding door makes baiting and release more convenient, and the tailsaver feature is important for the safety of the animals. The seller was very helpful.

Doing cat TNR, "Trap, neuter and release" I had a trap that used rings that fell down over the trap door, but allowed the cat to bang the door and bounce these rings up and get out. This had a better mechanism to secure the animal on the trap door. Perhaps a racoon would bend up the wire cage which appears to be galvanized and sturdy, but it's great for cats. So far 100 percent success rate. The size is great for cats too.

The trap is humane and works very well. Through no fault of the company, shipping was poor. The first trap was lost and the second trap delayed. Staff helped and, quite literally, did all they could to correct the situation.

Product well built and works as required. Seller was very responsive and responded to questions much quicker than expected. First contact was late at night (seller's time) and was surprised to receive an immediate repose to my query. 6 stars for customer service.

We ordered this to trap our cat Charlie who escaped and was thinking he wanted to live the wild life around the neighborhood. We enticed him with tuna. He was not initially happy about it but once he moved back in and realized that he could have tuna all the time and all the rubs, he decided it was best to give up his wild life on the streets.
