UPDATE: After leaving the review below, the seller reached out to me and apologized for the incompatibility and offered a full refund. Although I think they should edit their description to inform buyers of the issue, I altered the 1 star rating to a 3 for their honest customer service. The reusable pod is not compatible with the new smart series brewers from Keurig. The lid of these brewers have 5 points that puncture the K-Cup pods and the included reusable one does not have those 5 holes and therefore the lid will not close. You can’t follow the included instructions for descaling with the tablet because it requires the use of that pod. Because of this, the only usable product in the box is the descaling solution.

I had been descaling our Keurig with distilled vinegar, but decided to try this for the needle cleaning after our machine wouldn’t work because the needles were clogged. I honestly didn’t know that was a thing. I was impressed by the fact that the first two tanks of water actually looked like something was coming out of the coffee maker. The only problem was the needle cleaner. The little basket only has one center hole for a single needle but my machine has five needles and, to my disappointment, didn’t work as issued. I solved it by snapping the lid off the basket. The needle cleaner produced very brown water, so apparently it worked with my modification. *edit to add — I found a cheap refillable basket made to work with five needles, that works even better. * I doubt this kit will last me a year, as our machine asks to be cleaned more often than every three months, but it worked well and was reasonably priced.

Finally got a chance to use it as I misplaced it when I moved. My poor keurigs just been screaming at me to descale it and finally found this life saver and I'm back to drinking good coffee again. I love that this kit comes with so cleaning tools not just the descaler. I haven't figured how to use the filter yet but when I do I will update it. This is very easy to use and can be used 4 times. It doesn't have instructions for keurig itself you'd have to youtube it or go online to figure that out. Make sure you find the one for your particular keurig and follow the instructions. (Mine had to wait 30 minutes so it's crucial you find the right one!) Works like a charm. Only need to use 1/4 of the solution each time and descale button is now off. After 2 full rinses, I tasted the water and no difference. It's now great as new! Awesome and affordable kit!

I refill my kuerig with a liter carafe, so lime builds up on the bottom. Normally when I clean my coffee maker I clean the carafe with what comes from the kuerig and it cleans the lime. This product did not. So, did it clean the kuerig?

I've had my keurig for a long time and it's nearly on its last leg.. I didn't used to descale it often, since I usually just used it for water, but it had some limescale buildup and I recently used the rest of my cleaner on it. So, when I was looking for more, this set immediately caught my eye. I don't think I've ever used a filter in it, so the fact that this came with a bunch seemed really important and like a potential game changer for me. I've also never tried the tablets before (just the liquid that's also included). I didn't realize that was a thing, and honestly, it's going to be SO much easier to just pop one of those in once in a while. I also love that it comes with the reusable pod. I recently bought a bag of ground coffee (instead of my usual instant) and I couldn't find the pod I already had. Overall, my hopes are high and I'll update in the future. If it doesn't save my old machine, I'm at least happy to be better prepared for my next! Highly recommend!

My Keurig machine displayed “Descale” on Monday and this descaling kit arrived two days later-perfect timing! I have used the commercially available descaling solutions purchased from Amazon for my Keurig machines and they have worked well-at least I think they have. This set has some interesting items in addition to the descaling solution. The descaling solution is good for 4 uses and contains 500mL of solution. You should obtain something to measure 125mL for each use so as to conserve descaling solution and have available 125mL for each session. The tablets are interesting but I am not sure of the value of these as the solution only goes through the final stage of the Keurig system and does not “touch” much of anything. I tried them with the included reusable pod and everything appeared to work according to the instructions. I have no use for the six included filters as my coffee bar has a sink with filtered cold water. Bottom Line: A wonderful descaling kit for any Keurig system.
