FineDine Glass Beverage Dispenser Mason Jar with Leak Proof Spigot, 1 Gallon

Hopefully no one will ever know how much agonizing I did over selecting a dispenser jar. Reviews are all over the place and I only use plastic when I can't think of any possible way to get around it. All these jars seem to come with plastic spigots regardless of size or price. There are complaints about leaking and cracking glass all throughout. To complicate my decision, I needed a gallon jar as any larger would not fit in my fridge without major realignment which I was not willing to do. Finally, finally, finally I decided to give this FineDine Glass Beverage Dispenser Mason Jar a try. I intended to use it for infused water so that it would be in the fridge all the time and this size was perfect. I had no intentions of using the plastic spigot so I also ordered this stainless steel spigot Beverage Dispenser Replacement Spigot,Oak Leaf Stainless Steel Polished Finished, Dispenser Replacement Faucet at the same time. This spigot is made in China for those wanting to know so I hope the metal is okay. So far so good but if I get any rust (which real stainless won't do), I'll come back and post.I've used the jar well beyond my 30 day allowable return time and must say I love it. Drinking infused water is so much nicer than drinking regular water. I use a Zero water filter to fill the jar ZeroWater 10 Cup Pitcher with Free Water Quality Meter BPA-Free NSF Certified to Reduce Lead and Other Heavy Metals, then add some sliced fruit such as lemon, lime, oranges or all three (other fruits would work as well, I just prefer citrus). Oh my, such good water. I like this jar, the spigot and the infused filtered water a lot. Note that it is important to know when to stop screwing the spigot in because I suspect too tight might crack the glass. It's a feel thing, once it's tight, stop. Over a month now and no leakage. I can sit a glass under the spigot, fill it without moving the jar. The wide mouth opening makes clean-up easy though I clean it very carefully but even if anything happens to this jar like me dropping it, I will immediately buy another. Great jar.

This is a great jug for the green tea we go through on a weekly basis! Our second one...I did have an issue at first that it was not large enough because I was always making another jug full but then realized that any larger and it would not fit in the refrigerator AND the tea would spoil sooner if I had more in quantity. So a second jug is perfect in that I can have the next one ready to go!Beyond easy to assemble and no leaks. I clean the spigot with a ear swabs as there gets buildup between inside and outside. Just takes a few more seconds in the cleaning process...

I usually don't leave reviews (this is my first) but after being so frustrated by this, I felt the need to.One of the two jars I ordered didn't come with a cap to screw on to the other side of the spigot. I was hoping this wouldn't be a huge problem and that I could still use it - as long as I dont pull on the spigot. I was wrong, the thing leaks like crazy!! I was hoping to get a batch of kombucha going this weekend and I am livid. How do you not include all of the hardware required for assembly? I'll be going to a Michael's near me, very shortly.

The size and concept are good but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the spout (plastic I believe) and also the twist top was not great quality either. However, it will serve its purpose for some summertime iced tea. I just hope it lasts more than one summer.

l loved the looks of this dispenser and it arrived quickly. It does have to be set where the spigot can be above the counter or table top. we used it hanging over the edge of a sink. unfortunately, it cracked by the spigot the first time it was washed. The company offered an immediate refund, no problems.

Good quality 1 Gallon mason Jar. Perfect size for a batch of Kombucha.The spigot is easy to remove, clean, and reattach. The lid of the jar is wide enough to easily reach inside and clean it out. It comes with a nice lid that can be used as needed and the spigot has good flow, though it does appear to be fairly cheap. Given the price of the product though that makes sense.

I really wanted to love this beverage dispenser. I've been looking forward to having one to enjoy my iced tea from.The spigot works well and the glass is nice.... But it leaks. At first I thought maybe it was just because I didn't tighten the spigot enough. So I drained all the tea, tightened it as much as I was able, put it all back in and everything *seemed* fine.But when I opened my fridge an hour later, there was more spilled tea...

I am SO HAPPY with this item! Over the years I have tried several kinds of sun tea jars, and all of them leaked. One shattered when I picked it up. So far, this one is working great and it doesn't leak.
