This journal is just great! All of the journals by Monica Sweeney are! I've bought 3 so far plus a planner and I'll definitely be on the lookout for more! Gives me smile when I need it! It's real
Some people have written negative reviews about this book. I understand different people come from different worlds some can't get past the "bad language" ... bad language? How about real! No-pussy-footin' around, straight forward! And yes many of us have issues in our life that need to be addressed (Lord knows I do), however, there's no BOOK that will resolve serious issues if that's what you're going to find and if there are some than they're very few and far between. That's what therapists are for, (if one cannot afford to see therapist there are ways to get one if you're willing to do the foot work) or get a journal and writw write write, or join a group and find a sponsor. For me, I love this book! I thinks it's great -- I agree the language is there and may offend some people but I believe sugar coating things isn't something that'll help, at least not for me. This book is humorous, hilarious, straight forward in a 'real' kind of way. What I mean by real? It's NOT FAKE. Some people like that... I don't! I did think this book was bigger with more room for writing but it is what it is.... I just write where there's room.... Improvise!

Fun Journal But..
This is a silly journal for fun and while I do think it’s a great activity for keeping a positive mindset, I will say that for those truly struggling you might not find the book too entertaining. I don’t feel like this journal goes too deeply into things, so if that’s what you’re looking for maybe this isn’t it for you. That being said, I personally do think that it’s a great journal. A little cheesy sometimes but good! And it’s in the name but some people may think it’s just a few words: the journal does cuss a lot so if that’s not your cup of tea be mindful of that too (I don’t mind swears at all but I know others do).

It’s definitely a must have.
This book will absolutely get your attention. Its illustrations are fantastic and the fonts she uses are eye catching and satisfying. Lots of color and cursing. It’s perfect. It’s funny yet it really will help take your mind away from unhealthy negative thoughts and the entire time you will be smiling. I had to make myself stop. Definitely a must have.

ZEN THROUGH LAUGHTER
Loved this journal during my breast cancer and mastectomy journey. It provided lovely illustrations, great quotes, and awesome prompts with a sarcastic (and true) edge. I believe there are times in life where if we don't laugh, we just cry. This book allows you to do both. It was very cathartic and I wholeheartedly recommend buying this journal for yourself or a loved one who is facing a difficult time- whether that be health-related, trauma-related, or even just the daily grind of life. If curse words make you laugh and not feel offended... this is the journal for you!

I love this book. Its genuinely amusing, and helpful in equal measure. I tend to do one or two pages at a time, and if I'm not keen on a page, I leave it for later. Cannot recommend enough.
