Love this phone.
I love this phone so much. I've dropped it so many times and put it through the wringer and it's still running like the day I got it. I highly recommend it.

It works
review 12/02/2024 Ordered this more than a month ago, with some delay in the shipping part of the order by a few weeks from the promised delivery date. Am nitpicking on some of the details here. My one concern when I received this product was that the phone's box was inside another box with no void filling ( i.e. packing peanuts, paper, bubble wrap) so I was worried it must have jangled around inside that amazon box. All seems to be fine...for now. Things that I like that worked. - works with T-mobile, USA - was able to smoothly transfer about...80% of all my data from my older samsung phone, so yay. The T-mobile service personnel was able to assist me in transferring....most of my files, but others I just need to make sure to move/re-download - fingerprint reader, check - my old files from my external microSD card just 'merged' easily to the new phone. - memory/ storage seems to be functioning fine - and what I'm most concerned about is the product not having a 3.5mm audio jack outlet, which it does <3 Some things that I don't like about it. - the cable that comes with the phone inside its phone box is both what i think is usb-c to usb-c male on both ends. Most of my older samsung chargers and computer hardware work on usb-a, so I had to find some in order to charge the phone for the first time, so if you're purchasing this with a similar setup to mine, please prepare your own cable to charge with ( good thing my relatives have some spare cables after poking them ) - taking a phone screenshot is just weird. my older model, i would press both power button on its right and volume button on the left. However on this model both volume and power buttons are to the right, which make for awkward hand positioning for either your left hand positioned on the top part of the button to reach the volume button, or tilt the phone in a different viewing angle to be able to reach those buttons better, but auto-rotate will be your enemy in this instance depending on the app you are using. - I'll chalk it up to being an extremely cranky person, but compared to the older model, this newer model does not have enough selection of nice images pre-installed to use for your background image for the the menu area. I'm quite sure tho if I take the time to browse the Samsung shop, I could find some to my liking but for a fee. - the amount of bloatware is minimum compared to my older model, but is still quite a hassle to uninstall the ones I particularly have no use for. I will update on a later date if I have other things I like or don't like on this phone. But so far, it holds all the basic functions I need and I am satisfied with it.

Legit 8GB RAM / 256GB Storage Model
I was a little skeptical that it was really the 8GB/256GB version for less than two hundred but can confirm, that's what I got. Great price for the phone. I don't play games on my phone but I've noticed no major slow downs browsing the web with 100 tabs and several background apps open. Battery is estimated at 15 hours screen on time, which is quite a bit better than the Galaxy S10e I'm moving from. Performance is about the same as the S10e in battery saver mode (cpu clock limited to 70%). It was a seamless SIM swap to get it working on Mint Mobile (T-Mobile). Main downsides are the lack of wireless charging (all A series lack it), IP water/dust rating, and only supporting up to wifi 5 (rather minor). This is personal preference but the phone is rather large with its' 6.5" display. I personally really miss the Galaxy S10e 5.8" screen/form factor. There just aren't many good options for smaller phones these days.

After a few months of use this phone really starts to get buggy
After like 4 months of use I can say this js the worst phone I have ever had. I'm going back to iphone. Thus phone is lagging, slow, some features such a hey Google or gemini act very inconsistent, and the charging port is failing. If you want a budget phone just got an iPhone se or something like that alrund that price.

Nice Samsung phone
I've had this phone for over a year and really like it. The touch screen is big, and I like it's functions. The charger is fast, charging the phone quickly.

Not Drop Resistant
Note, that if this phone had 'Gorilla Glass' instead of the lesser resistant screen, i would have given it 5 star. It is really good phone, but you have to be really careful not to drop it, that is the only bad thing about it. Although i was pretty satisfied with this phone features, software, camera quality, screen clearness and battery life. After using it for about 6 months. I rarely drop my phone, i may have dropped it only 2 or 3 times total, i also have a drop protection cover that i purchased separately. This last time time i dropped it on a hard floor, the screen froze and basically made my phone a brick. I can no longer power up, and the screen is messed up. I tried opening the phone hoping that it may just be a loose small connector, however the screen had gone bad. I'm extremely disappointed as everyone drops the phone, they say very often, i myself barely drop the phone, but on the very few time it screen just happened to go bust. Just sad how such an expensive item they don't make it more drop resistant. Eventually i may buy a screen replacement and hopefully get it to work again, but instead i decided to buy another phone, as usually the screen replacement is never as good as the OEM screen. This is such iconic phone, just don't understand why the screen design is so fragile. Even the screen does not look cracked from the outside, screen is cracked from the inside. Making it unusable after a moderate drop.
