CVNC 10 Inch G Note Throat Chakra Frosted Quartz Crystal Singing Bowl Free Mallet & O-ring For Sound Healing Instrument

I actually love these bowls. Built well, it looks, no chips or cracks, and they carry bags look very solid too. They sound great and can get very loud, however, they're a bit out of tune.Now, I'm a bit of a music nerd, so please excuse the rant. But I believe that if an instrument has a specified frequency that is claimed to be tuned into, that's what we should expect from the manufacturer. (If you want just skip to the TLDR at the bottom.)Given that there are no regulations for this type of stuff, you just have to take their word for it. So what happens when and instrument like this is out of tune? You have to find a way to tune it?? I'm not sure if it's even possible to tune these. Maybe you can put water to sharpen the note? Just a theory, but I don't think it's a good idea to do this, but either way a big problem is they are all sharp already! So you'd have to remove material to flatten it??Here's a breakdown of my findings (referenced to A432, which are the ones I ordered): C4 is +18.3 cents sharp, D4 is +27.2 cents sharp, E4 is +12.1 cents sharp, F4 is +8.2 cents sharp, G4 is +41.9 (!!) cents sharp, A4 is +7.2 cents sharp, and finally B4 is -17.2 cents flat.Now, referenced to A440, the breakdown is as follows: C4 is -17.5 cents flat, D4 is -4.5 cents flat, E4 is -19.7 cents flat, F4 is -23.6 cents flat, G4 is +10.1 cents sharp, A4 is -24.6 cents flat, and finally B4 is -49.0 cents flat.As you can see, the bowls are tuned somewhere in between A432 and A440. The human ear could tell a difference if there are tuning errors of about 5-6 cents. However, we perceive tuning difference in intervals, but that's another discussion. My point is, I think that the manufacturer is either 1) not concerned about the quality control in terms tuning and they just care about the structural integrity of the bowl, or 2) they make sure they tune it in between A432 and A440 so they can sell you on both and claiming there is some wiggle room in tuning.I'm not expecting the tuning to be perfect, but I was still disappointed that the perfect fifth is so sharp from the C to G.So, TL;DR: If you are buying this because "A432 is the frequency of healing" then I hope you're ok with "close enough". If you buy this for the purposes of making music, good luck complementing it with other instruments. If you just want to hear cool tones come out of these great-looking bowls, then have fun! In the end, they sound great and maybe 10% of people will actually notice the tuning problem. But for me, it bothers me a bit, especially when they tell you that they are tuned.

The media could not be loaded.  All bowls have the same perfect thickness and the sounds are beautiful and long lasting. I got the 8-14 inch bowls. I researched the company that made these and saw some good reviews and decided to go ahead and spend $800 with the insurance. I got 3 years warranty for any accidents and breakage. I recommend you do too. Takes away so much stress when it comes to handling the bowls and transporting them. Still hesitant to leave the house while they are on the ground with my dog around but she’ll get used to them and will hangout around them like she does with my other expensive objects. I love them, high quality, carefully packaged and delivered in perfect condition. I just became certified and this video is me playing the bowls for the very first time. I got the ones with the chakra symbols inside. The rings are all the same size and silicone so they fit all the bowls and easily holds them and keeps them sturdy while on the ground. I suggest that people stop being anal about the frequency of the bowls, it’s not a thing when it comes to benefiting from the healing of singing crystal bowls. Happy sound therapy everyone!

first bought the color coded 7" - 12"one bowl was broken on arrival and I see why, it was paper thin and so was one other bowl. I return the broken set and decided to give it another try, but this time spend a few hundred more and got the 8" - 14" bowl set. much thicker. no carry cases, but much better quality bowls. you get what you pay for I guess

I ordered these and they arrived without the O-rings which are pretty important to hold them in place, I contacted customer service and they didn’t offer any resolution, they kept asking me to send a video when all I needed was the O-rings. I specified that everything was fine, it was just that small detail but their response was the exact same one.I love the bowls, it’s just upsetting that for security purposes, I had to wait to use them because I had to buy a set of rings.

I am a holistic guide and I offer sound baths at The Well-Worn Soul. I wanted a nice set of bowls as a stepping stone into sound healing. These definitely fit the bill. When they were delivered, the courier told me that the box was dropped (cue internal panic). The outside box was not labeled as fragile. The box on the inside was, and thankfully they were packed by the manufacturer really well and nothing was broken.

I did some research before buying these, even talking to a friend who bought the same set a few years ago.However I find the frosting on the bowls to be too rough (I have a frosted bowl from TopFUnd that is much much smoother. Also the frosting is inconsistent, some bowls have it very rough in some spots and less in others. Frosting is inconsistent from bowl to bowl as well.The rough frosting causes a louder (noticeable) noise when played.In some cases it’s so rough that it peels material from the mallets (the leather ones).Also, please note that these do not come with their carrier. I did not notice that when I ordered as I had been checking several sets.

I want to give these a higher rating, as they arrived without damage, and are clearly cheaper than other US companies sell for. But unfortunately I was very disappointed to discover that only ONE of the seven bowls plays near 432Hz, which may not be important to some, but it is to me, and it's the reason why I selected this set. On top of that, the bowls are not well tuned to each other, meaning they each play a variant of their note (C, D, F etc) but none are perfect pitch, which if tuned to each other still works. But since they are not, they do not resonate well when trying to pay them together. Again, this might not matter to some people, but it's a problem for me and my intended use for them. I was hoping to save some money by going with this set of bowls, but turns out, I will need shell out more money to get what I need. A shame. I'd say it's a good pick if you just want to play one bowl for yourself with no concern for frequency. They should at least play at 432Hz if advertised as such.Would have returned if I could, but I'm past the time. I ordered these bowls right before Covid shut downs, so I was not able to access my delivery for months after they were delivered, as I was away from my residence to take care of my mother.
