I already had a different style safety hat of the classic, cheap yellow all-plastic variety I find I rarely wear that one because it feels so... clunky and awkward. This one is far superior. If I can rave about a safety hat, this actually feels nice and dare I say even attractive to wear. I've put it on when working around overhead nails, etc. and forgotten I was even wearing it hours later, that's how lightweight and comfortable it is. Of course a safety hat is only good if it helps protect you and I feel confident that this will protect my noggin from whatever happens to be overhead (for example if I'm crawling in an tight clearance attic with nails (I've done that w/out a hat- not a smart move) or sticking my head between joists or just walking around while people are carrying 2x4s or whatever. I have no idea if this would be helpful if say a steel beam fell on you but I don't work in that kind of environment. Sure it is a few bucks more than the super cheap plastic variety but if you actually wear this one more it seems well worth it. Don't hesitate to buy.

Runs a little small but good product

I work around low, hanging structures and sharp objects. It’s Not a true hardhat, but works great on the job to keep my head from minor, nicks and dings. Lightweight and breathable makes it easy to wear all day.

Buyer Be Aware This Bump Cap has no adjustment on the hard shell only the tightness band. I decided to keep as the cap is nicely engineered other than the hard shell having no adjustment to increase the size. I removed the hard shell and the cap fits nicely WITHOUT the shell. My hat size is 7 - 3/8”
