Fantomorphia: An Extreme Coloring and Search Challenge

I’ve enjoyed all of this artist’s coloring books. Like many others, I was initially bummed when I learned this book doesn’t have nearly as many coloring pages. However, that’s been disclosed since the beginning. It hardly seems fair to give this book a low rating simply because people didn’t take the time to read through the entire description. Additionally, this is, by far, one of the best books in the series.Yes, I loved getting more pages for more money. But do you know what I love even more? High quality images and paper, single-sided pages (no bleed through worries!), and some of the coolest drawings in the series. If you enjoy steampunk or walking on the darker side of life, this is definitely the right book for you. It’s full of dragons, skulls, bats, castles, and cats.Also, 17 quality coloring pages is more than worth the price. Even if you average one page per hour (and let’s be real; some of these pages take several hours to complete with any level of skill/artistry), you’d still be getting 17 hours of fun for less than $10. I don’t know about you, but i’m happy to pay approximately 57 cents per hour of entertainment.Creating these books isn’t easy, and the artist doesn’t get a big cut of each sale. I certainly can’t begrudge him improving his profit margin a bit by reducing the total number of pages. Everyone has to eat, after all.

I know many people complained that this book was so disappointing as far as what they usually expect from Kerby Rosanes and that it's so thin compared to previous editions (only 19 illustrations) but it suit me perfectly. Here's why: 1) The illustrations are not as busy, cluttered and intricate as previous books. I never had an interest in the other books for that and the next reason. 2) Theme. I didn't care for the other themes but this gothic/ fantasy type of theme is right up my alley. 3) The designs are still intricate but without all the extra doodles and odd bits and at a smaller amount of pages I know I will color the entire book. With the previous books the idea of coloring all of them seemed pretty much impossible unless I was very very good and very very fast, lol. I'm a colorist who likes to fussy color and take my time but I don't want to be at one page for days on end. So If you have the same likes and style as me then you'll love this book. The paper is white and good, quality cardstock type. I have purchased books for the same price that had only 3-4 more illustrations than this book but the paper was createspace and or very thin and toothy. Considering the quality of this book, it equaled out as far as I'm concerned

I have seen A LOT of really bad reviews for this book? If you pre ordered I completely understand why you might be upset. I honestly feel like he wanted to make a book for people using alcohol markers or like products. These books are way too cheap for some of the reviews I’ve seen! I would give this book 5 stars simply for the first 3-4 pictures along with the pumpkin. I can’t wait to start so bye.

Ok, first off, this is a great little coloring book. It is smaller than most of Kerby Rosanes books - which I knew from other reviews when purchasing, so that was to be expected. However, I loved some of the images so much from the preview that I had to buy it anyway. And I was not disappointed. Most of the images are amazing (I am not so taken with the Jack O Lantern page or the one with the tree and mushrooms with faces, but the rest are awesome).I actually like that each of the images was made to be on one page, so the facing page is blank. I will not have to worry about what medium I choose to use or whether it would transfer color onto the facing page. HOWEVER, who made the decision to only print half of the wolf???? The image is amazing and was obviously drawn to cover 2 pages (as it is printed on the cover - both front and back). So why not make the decision to have this one spread be printed as a double page? I was sorely disappointed in that alone, which is why I took off a star. (I thought about taking off 2, but that seemed like overkill.)Anyway, the purchase is definitely worth it, as long as you are not buying the book only for the wolf drawing! Hope this helps.

Love Carby and his books, another great book to color enjoing every minute.

This book is awesome and has a great price

First I have seen a lot of folks slam the artist for this book and that is horrible to do and rather clueless of them to do so. The author does have control over how the book is produced and they wanted to split the book into 2 sections, so that is what they did. They have control over it not the author- Some folks should learn how this works before slamming the wrong people. Take it up with PLUME books.I liked this edition, yes some of it did not have the detail others have had in his previous edition (less doodle art and more "serious" art) I like it better actually. I wished he would do one that really "morphs" into something. Like a pack of wolves turns into one big wolf or the like.The next one out is his last so we should enjoy them while we can. Support the artist for his hard work that you obviously enjoy.I have EVER edition of his books, they are by far my favourites in my collection of books. The paper is great not as good as other editions but still good paper. The art is all one sided so you don't have to worry about the transfer of colour.BLAME THE PUBLISHER NOT THE ARTIST!The Publisher is at fault not Kerby.

Single sided pages, great paper quality, amazing artwork as expected for Kerby Rosanes

This book has everything I want in an adult colouring book. Excellent artwork, plus subliminal drawings within the main animal! I would recommend this book to everyone who loves to find subliminal messages or drawings!

Excelente edicion, el papel es grueso y de buena calidad, con una tonalidad levemente beige, a diferencia de la edicion de imagimorphia que adquiri tambien en amazon, cuyo papel era de muy mala calidad. Otro detalle q tiene a diferencia del resto de los libros de Kerby es que este trae menos dibujos y vienen impresos solo por un lado del papel, lo que te permite usar plumones de base de alcohol u otros mediums humedos.

L'auteur est toujours aussi bon dans ses dessins, les papier tiens très biens les crayons, feutres, aquarelles, cependant ce cahier a les pages blanc cassé à jaune, se que j'ai pour ma pars bien aimé, mais on regrettera les double pages avec toujours ce problème au niveau de la tranche du cahier.

Livro com ilustrações lindíssimas, papel de qualidade excelente, a única ressalva que eu acredito que seja um problema da Editora, algumas ilustrações estão mal centralizadas, mas isso não desabona a qualidade e a beleza. Amei meu livro.Nanci Mariano Ferradás
