I am the Clark Griswold of our neighborhood. At Christmas time for the last 20 years i’ve put up a lot of lights on our old brick tudor house.I love the look of the old incandescent C-9 filament bulbs. I don’t love the thousands of watts and hefty electric bill and constantly changing out bulbs that burn out or blow the fuse or the heat produced by these big bulbs. But they are so warm and natural looking compared to LEDs that I have seen around town.This year I made the big change to LED…reluctantly. I purchased hundreds of C-9 smooth warm white bulbs from HLO Lighting. Although I am not completely done with my light display, I have enough light strings up on the house and i am thrilled with the warm look and only slight LED flickering effect. The family is happy and I am too, knowing that I am eventually going to recoup the initial bulb investment with lower energy bills and hopefully not need to change out bulbs or fuses constantly.I will update with longevity of these bulbs.I gave a 3 star because these were promised to be delivered by a certain day. They were late, and although I got a notice saying sorry, it didn’t help with my timeline of getting my lights up.I gave a 4 star on brightness, because from the sides these are not as bright as I would have liked.The box does say “An Idaho Company”, but the box also says “Made in China”. HLO is the American distributor of the products.

We bought these lights because we wanted an LED C9 light that we could replace easily. These fit the bill. They're a bit expensive at approx. $1 each. They arrived in a box that has individual compartments for each bulb to protect them. However, the cardboard doesn't go all the way up and protect the bulbs from touching each other so they rub and scratch all around the wide part. Other than that they see good so far. Hopefully they last.

I love these lights! If a glass light set falls from the roof to the sidewalk, the glass will break. Not these lights because they are made not with glass but with Shatter-Resistant acrylic! If the light string hits your ladder or the sidewalk, it might scuff, but it isn't going to shatter! When lit the colors are beautiful, with the exception of the blue lights. They are so blue that they are almost purple. I believe this is because the light uses a blue LED and blue acrylic bulb. On the other colors, this adds to the color, but with the blue bulbs, it makes them look odd and out of place.***************************************UPDATE:I believe that the industry has learned its lesson. The blue lights, now, actually look blue and not purple!*************************************** We've all seen this before with other led light strings. I believe it can be fixed by just using a warm white LED instead of a blue LED inside of the blub.With C9 light strings becoming harder to find in stores and manufacturers using increasingly inferior materials, it is a pain to have constantly purchase these lights. With these LED lights and commercial grade light strings, I won't have to worry about my outdoor Christmas lights. To use as replacements, I plan on keeping an extra set of 25 lights. That way, in the future, the lights will always have the same look.

I put up over 5,000 foot of Christmas lights this year, some old but most new. Over 5,000 bulbs and I only had a problem with one bulb. I've dropped these bulbs off a roof directly onto concrete and they were perfectly okay. HLO has made a firm believe out of me and they will be the only lights I order from here on out. Not only are they durable but look amazing once they are up and on. I have never left a review on anything I've ordered but this company deserves it. BUY BUY BUY!!!

I’ve purchased almost 500 of these. We did our entire church then bought the same thing for our house.I will say they look better pointing towards you rather than pointing up.

So happy I bought these! First of all, two years ago I changed all our incandescent lights over to LED strings. And after 2 season I was having issues with sections going out. This year I bought more incandescent strings, then replaced the bulbs with these LED. Couldn’t be happier. All 225 bulbs worked upon install. I had one bulb fail after 2 days. No failures in the last 2 weeks. That’s all I can report on longevity so far. My strings are fastened to a system so changing bulbs are easy, but changing strings are not! I bought one box extra to replace any burned out bulbs over the years. Picture is this bulb on the left with an incandescent bulb on the right. These LED’s look great!

We replaced our glass lights with these. They are a great color, I was worried they would look like the new led lights that I hate. I really like the traditional colors. These are great! We didn't have them up very long so I'm not sure how they will hold up.
