I have the 30 in chain and looks great, I think the gold color is a bit more silverish lighter of a gold color. I ran a magnet across the chain and only the clasp picked up some magnetic metal, so appears to be 925 silver from what I can tell. I do like that this is solid silver 925 chain and not some cheap material underneath.Overall 4.4 stars taking into consideration the products description, quality, features, value and cost of 42.99 a bit high in price.

I am using this 18K gold over sterling silver for my own personal everyday wear. I feel that this necklace is a true masterpiece for its exceptional quality, unbeatable price, and the luxurious blend of sterling silver with gold overlay. I would say a standout feature for myself is the great price for this high-quality piece. I think the feel of the chain against the skin is another noteworthy aspect. I'm just not in love with the "gold" color over this silver necklace. The necklace itself is pretty, but hard to pair with other gold necklaces. Who knew there were so many colors of "gold."

I ordered this for my college-aged daughter and it immediately went into her regular rotation of necklaces. She loves to layer various chains, and this is perfect for that. It's also awesome that it is non-tarnishing, as she often forgets to remove jewelry before showering. Really nice!

I'm choosy when it comes to gold jewelry. Even more so with it's just the chain. But this 18k gold-plated mariner-style chain is gorgeous! Got the 30 inch length and I am loving it. I don't need to unclasp or clasp it's hooks. I just put it over my top and I'm good to go and now more glittery than I was before. The diamond-cut of the geometric design of this chain glitters like costly gold, when light hits it. It makes my non-descript work outfit more stylish and attractive. The base material of this chain is 925 sterling silver, which my neodymium magnet seems to confirm.Hugely recommended.

This chain necklace arrived quickly and is as advertised, a storage pouch is also included. Chain is very pretty, lightweight, clasp works well, goes wonderfully with matching pendants. Not sure how long the gold plating will last, only time will tell. I will update review if I notice any premature oxidation to the plating. All in all very, very happy with this chain necklace. Recommend.

This is my second purchase from them, as I absolutely love the look and quality of their chains.I purchased the gold over sterling, 24 inch long, 3mm wide diamond-cut mariner chain. At 3mm thick you can definitely see the necklace from afar-it won't be a chain that fades into the background. This necklace has beautifully shaped links and is VERY sparkly-it catches the eye. There is a substantial lobster clasp that operates smoothly. The 925 (sterling) marking is on the chain end.
