I haven't purchased anything made by Arcteryx in 15 years. Back then Arcteryx products stood an extra measure above almost all the rest and were priced accordingly. I did read many reviews before making this purchase. I'm now thinking there's a fairly large "fanboy" base that review Arcteryx jackets, maybe it's the new "influencer" culture? The Thorium is a warm, well made jacket. But after wearing it now for a couple months I don't see anything that justifies the price. It's probably twice as expensive as it should be. I don't see any standout performance, quality or durability characteristic that warrants the price. It's just a nice hooded down puffer. There are too many other well made jackets on the market to compete with the Thorium at a significantly lower price point.

I love this jacket! The fit is perfect. It was delivered on time. This jacket is better than I expected.
