Omega Nutrition Flax Seed Oil, 8-Ounce

After stumbling across the article "Chemistry of Cast Iron Seasoning: A Science-Based How-To" by Sheryl Canter and reading some of the backlash it generated, I reluctantly ordered a bottle of this flax oil even though the cost was significant.I followed the directions from the blog and the results are truly amazing. After two days and seven thin coats, my skillet has a sheen that would have normally taken me months to create with lard and daily use. The flax oil seasoning is remarkably strong, and even though I was initially critical of Sheryl's praise on the slick-"ish" finish it creates, my skillet actually turned out to be much slicker, directly after seasoning, than I had anticipated.The only downsides about the oil (of which I was forewarned in the article) are the high price, the short shelf life and the foul odor. The expiry date on the bottle is March 2013, which only gives me three months of use, and the odor is a bit fishy and the stench lingers in the air for quite a while.I cannot comment on its health benefits because I'm not using it as a nutrition supplement (and after smelling it - I definitely won't be), but as a cast iron seasoning, this stuff rocks! All in all, I am very satisfied with the oil and the results it gave me.

Good product

This product should have come in dry ice since this type of oil if heated it's toxic for the body..they didn't even offer the dry ice (as they used to do in their website) when I got it the mail man left it outside at my door and when I got it it was burning hot! Worst ..amazon won't take the return

とても飲みやすく、口に入れるとハーブの様な香りが広がります。こちらを購入する前にスーパーで常温の有機亜麻仁オイルを1度試しました。そちらも思ったほどクセはなかったのですが、このオイルは更にとても飲みやすく、2歳の娘と美味しく頂いています。
