Excellent Value
During COVID, my spouse began cutting my hair at home; the initial cuts were a bit embarrassing, but the mask hid my identity while outside, so no problem! Her haircuts and skill level have improved over the past three years. What hasnāt improved is using a draped towel to catch the cut hair; it doesnāt work, and the relentless itching afterward drove me crazy. The cut hair also sticks to the clothing; we would toss it in the washer after the haircut, but the hair either hangs on or is embedded into other garments in the washer. Finally, we decided to buy a salon-quality ācapeā and enter the āArioluer Store Barber Cape.āWe are completely happy with our purchase, but in the spirit of fair reviews, here are the Pros/Cons:PRO:- SIZE: Large- They didnāt skimp on the size. Iām not a tiny guy; the cape completely drapes my body to my ankles. It's wide enough to drape over the shoulders so the arms stay covered completely.- Material: Lightweight material; the listing says Polyester. The hair slides right off, even on the shoulders. The material is smooth and comfortable, and it's completely cool and breathable for those who do the haircuts āoutside.ā- Attachment Device: It has two metal clasps that hold the neck of the gown in place. I inspected both clasps; both are securely double-stitched to the garment.- Design/Artwork: The design is attractive and is embedded into the material; it's not a cheap decal that will fall off after a month.CONS:- No laundry tags?? No ācareā tag, cannot even confirm the materials?- I recommend the manufacturer add a materials tag for two reasons.1. Never assume that everyone understands how to wash and dry polyester. Eventually, someone will toss it into the dryer on high heat and max spin.2. The Federal Trade Commission requires labeling; labels must contain laundry symbols specified in ASTM Standard D5489-96c. Pocketless and reversible garments are exempt; this item may fit in that category.SUMMARY: 5/5 Product met AND exceeded our expectations and provides excellent value. ā¦ā¦and no more using towels for haircutsā¦YA!

Useful and slick
Am I real barber now? I finally have a cape, for those once-a-month kitchen cuts! This cape is exceptionally long, which means it does cover all the way to feet and floor (using a regular kitchen chair). It is slippery, which means the hair isn't sticking to it either. The design is fun, and to the point -- but the year established is clearly wrong, since this place started cutting hair well before 2022....more like 1946, when my mom bought her first set of clippers for her husband and 3 little boys. Overall, a welcome addition to the kitchen barber shop, and real barber shops, too, probably.
